As someone who loves mario (I can count 12 pieces of mario merchandise in my immediate view in my room) it wasn't that good. It wasn't horrible or anything, but it could have had a good meaningful story AS WELL AS loads of mario references. "Oh it's a kid's film it doesn't need to be that good". Why not? Look at Into the Spiderverse, the Toy Story films, even The Lego Movie was great in it's own right. The fact you need to be a mario fan to appreciate it is a failure of the film.

Pakistan is pretty densely populated, but I'm pretty sure the US is pretty sparsely populated too. Compare it to populations like Germany's, which are a fraction of the size yet nearly a third of the population.

I've been out of work for years after a suicide attempt. I spend most of my spare time doing unpaid charity work while struggling to get a job because of the gap in my work history.

Animal Crossing had gripes from some fans but it was largely a massive success. Kirby Star Allies was a bit wet but the large amount of content added in updates relieved a lot of complaints, and we had The Forgotten Land anyway, so there isn't a "trend" in that series of the games being worse. Mario Tennis Aces is the best Mario Tennis game since the Gamecube, and I've seen some argue that the core gameplay is the best it's ever been.

Although, I can't disagree that the Mario sports games do feel a bit rushed out and cheap. Nintendo's release schedule in general has been bare lately. I think they were hit harder by the pandemic than most. But in the past year or so we've had Xenoblade 3, Kirby, Splatoon 3, Bowser's Fury, Fire Emblem, we're getting Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4. I think the only real downgrade of quality is in the Mario sports games, and even then it's compared to the Gamecube titles. The quality in the Wii U/3DS era was a lot more inconsistent. Mario Tennis Ultra Smash and Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival anyone?

Why it's wrong on a debate level: it's completely irrelevant. "hurhur Marjorie taylor greene is ugly" feels pretty damn juvenile and derailing when she's trying to turn the US into an oppressive fascist regime.

It's the worst 3D mario experience.

Not awful or anything. But the camera does not work with the run button. There's really apparent slowdown, and mario has never looked more jaggy.

But if we give people a safety net, what will we threaten workers with to ensure they accept bad working conditions?

I like both but mario is better and there's no competition. It'd be quicker to list the mario games that aren't better than the best sonic game, than to list the ones that are.

Dead rising 4 is set at Christmas. However, it's also dogshit.

Weird to me to see people complain about it being "short". I think of 80-90 minutes being standard film length.

My biggest complaint is actually the slow-mo shots. I think a lot of the humour are repeated Illumination jokes that will really date the film, but half the slow-mo shots served no purpose. Some were cool, and I remember one, maybe two, that had a good joke, but most of them were just something like "Mario does a backflip while making a silly face".

Thinking about it actually, the showing I saw was mostly kids, and I barely remember hearing any laughs. Although there was a girl next to me loving it and getting excited. No laughs though.

I work with someone who's nb, and they have to put up with all the boomer terfs at my work randomly spouting off about trans people. Thankfully they tend to remove themselves from those situations and vent to me about it.

Every aspect is mediocre and it all coalesces into less than the sum of its parts.

Realised I should drop it when I got to a new area and realised I dreaded having to talk to all the characters. That's usually my favourite part of a game and Vampyr made it tedious and boring.

And that's not getting started on the rubbish combat, the crafting, the boring levelling system, etc.

I've been eating REALLY badly. I've set up a little dumb system. I have a tray of stones next to a bottle. For every day I don't eat like a monster, I'll put a stone in the bottle.

I never really got on with the original Resident Evil. I managed one Jill playthrough on easy but when I go back to it all I can think is "how did I play this it's so tiring".

Also the big spiders are scary.
