I know you're jumping to leaps and bounds about the societal implications of an optional piece of dialogue but let me tell you 100% non-ironically, yes. I do believe the experience of a product is ruined when localizers get too into it. I don't care what they're editing, I don't care what they've removed. I want the pure, straight dope right from the creator's brain into mine. If I don't like the final product then it wasn't for me to begin with but it has a right to exist as it was intended. This way the author's true vision can be enjoyed by people all over the world!
