i mean this as neutrally as possible: she's a melodramatic type and i think she did it for attention, i don't believe for even a moment that she doesn't have an alt she'll be back on rather soon.

I've seen EV pissed in topics where being pissed was justified, like any topic about Republicans trying to use legislation to marginalize her very existence, but other than that I've never seen her post anything out of sorts.

I've dropped in on a few of her AMA's, and she always seemed pretty laid back and nice.

It's not at all wrong to use "they" when you don't know, and nobody is saying or suggesting otherwise. But if you do know that someone is a transwoman and prefers "she," like the poster that was modded for post #13 unquestionably did, then it's absolutely wrong to use "they."

Outside of the spreadsheet enthusiasts, most people can't be bothered to keep tabs on other users. It isn't unreasonable for people to default to "he," given that they will be right 19 out of 20 times. As a poker enthusiast, that is awesome odds to be betting on and almost as good as it gets.

She still has time to retract the closure if she changes her mind.

This is true. Though why younwpuld let gpg be the trigger is what I don't get. Gunplay is an objectively horrible person on this site just by personality.

speculating, but i don't think it was the banning that was the problem. more all the people using it as an excuse to be horrible, and not just about gpg.

i'll give the mods a lot of credit, they've gotten a lot better about getting rid of the overt hate over the last couple years. but there's still a lot of subtle bullshit that piles up, and it's incredibly tiresome.

I do hope she is doing okay.

I said this before, but if it was honest mistake, all he had to do was say as much, but he didn't. In fact, he never even denied the accusation, and when I said as much, he still wouldn't deny it.

she posted in a topic where she was misgendered just a few posts after she had posted, so her sig was right there. That's the basis of this conversation.

I miss when there was a "Pending Closure" and "Closed" account status.

That way you knew when it was a done deal.

She trolled about the harry potter game on an alt. Both accounts got suspended. Shitstorm happened. Both accounts got banned. Further shitstorming happened. It sucks but she knew what she was doing and with a history like hers, that was just a really bad idea. A lot of other accounts got hit too, both supporters of hers and haters.

It was really more of a huge circle jerk about how much CE doesn't like Gunplagirl. The worst that happened is after the ban topic for some reason 500'd mods started blasting EVERY topic about her. I mean, a few of her supporters got nailed, but frankly they deserve it.
