Question for anyone interested/bored enough to answer. If sheep flips town, what do you make of it and what would your proposed next steps be?

I'd raise an eyebrow, then go for reevaluating. Isquen/MZero and Dumey would certainly still be suspect, but we'd have to look deeper into JC, Han, and Sultan, possibly even Ulti and Lea. I legit wouldn't know.

This is a weird game so far. Not a lot of activity early feels uncharacteristic.

I quickly dismissed Dumey/Sheep being a potential team. I don't even remember entirely why, just that it felt completely wrong on any conceivable level.

I honestly don't know if we can do that on page 1 of topic 1, though. Depends on the scum team and whether or not they decided to pull some theatre right out of the gate just so you can rule out any conceivable notion that the two of them are working together.

Now, later interactions might be worth studying some more. Might have to sit down and do that...

Ulti, so using your POE, who do you think is the most likely scum? And, to everyone, do you think the lack of activity is because scum has kinda given up?

Ctes isn't necessarily town - he could have scum's extra kill. Entirely possible that's what it was, and he's just claiming town vig to disguise it. I haven't decided either way yet.

Han's claim of a cop scan on Sheep is certainly plausible. And frankly, I don't like how Sheep hasn't yet claimed. One would think that, after a few votes, a townie wouldn't be like "please wait until EoD to -2 me, thanks!" like Sheep is here; they'd claim to tell town to stop. Certainly what I'd do, though I'd rather not right now.

So you want a town Redirector to claim so we can kill ONE scum? I think that's a bit of a stretch because we'd get one scum in exchange for multiple townies. The Redirector in this case would be suiciding and that might be what scum WANTS. It could be that they're trying to set that as a trap. Redirector fear is also a red flag, as if scum knows there is one. Can you confirm this?

As for my reads on JC and Sheep, I don't know what possessed me to say that without elaborating, but it was probably me being tight on time. It's mostly for the same reasons as everyone else. Page 3 of topic 2, for instance, as JC looking quite odd, again including his list. He felt like he had early reads on everyone and pushed an ISO on Death, who we now know is town. Was all that scum theatre, or was it him actually trying to solve the game? JC also had a vote on Death, who's town, so I'd think one of JC or Dumey was scum trying to save Chris. JC's dodginess for revealing who he tracked is a bit eyebrow-raising, too, as if he needs to suss out who he can accuse.

Sheep... the vote on Han yesterday is WEIRD, in retrospect, since Chris voted that way too... as did Death, who was town. Since we know Chris was scum and he got hit with a B8 Special, I'd think one scum is among the votes for him, if that. It's mostly just POE and my gut. But I really don't know.

Does this at least help?

As for mass claiming, I don't like it right now. It's only Day 2, and any town power that's honest immediately gets killed by scum. Scum claims could be vanilla or a basic power like JC's is. They can't get caught in a lie or counter-claimed, after all. Day 3, however, is when it starts to become viable.

I have kind of a headache and am gonna take a nap shortly. Here's hoping I feel better enough to be more coherent soon.

Town Hero is probably Spock. A beloved icon of the series known for "Live Long and Prosper." That last part is my hypothesis, but I don't want to dwell on this any longer. Flavor Meta is not useful here.

Death may have been the kill because that's like the Spanish Inquisition, in that nobody in their right mind would expect him. There may also be a driver, as discussed, but we need a couple more pieces of information to discern that.

A few reads:
Sultan isn't making any sense. A scum redirector would not have redirected the kill. Wanting a redirector to claim would help scum. I don't think Sultan is town.
Yesterday, JC was waffling a bit, and that interaction doesn't look good.
I still can't get Dumey asking me if Chris was trying to solve the game out of my head, given how it was phrased.
Sheep is suspicious. Just the way he's acting is setting off my radar.

I'm liking Crescent more and more also.

BCT is right. BP + Bus Driver can be played around by scum by shooting the BP. Standard mafia wifom.

Yeah, driver is significantly less powerful than a straight redirect. One could exist, sure. But the rules vary way too much with that role for us to know its parameters this game. Best to not spend time theorizing when we have scum to find.

Sultan wanting any redirector or driver to claim is very pro-scum. I'm not liking that look on him.

If you're BP, bus driver can exist; it's certainly more plausible than a straight redirector. Because instead of nullifying kills by using it on you, they can trade two actions that aren't kills. Unlike with redirector, it varies whether a driver can change who is killed, right?

I would think that Death wasn't driven for that reason.

I'm very aware of how my last-second vote looks bad. Like I tend to do Day 1, I panicked those last few minutes and felt I needed to put my vote on someone, thinking others would, too. I had no idea who was scum and just went with my gut. That's really it.

And yet, Ulti's now the one trying to prove you innocent, Sultan. I don't follow. I just think Ulti was trying to figure out what was going on seeing as I flip-flopped quite a bit on D1.

Not sure if Carolyn got the real and fake idol mixed up or production actually switched 'em. If the beads are fake on one side and the coin is the fake on another, it's meant to confuse players. So whoever finds Danny's coin will think theirs is legit based on what Carolyn played.

BCT I appreciate you going through and collecting all those. But I know at the very least in my case, almost none of my choices are consistent to now. Seeing how the pressure on Death went, I became fairly convinced that scum was happy letting Death die and the whole game flipped on its head.

Doesn't matter how you feel now. The goal was to logic together who scum could be, and see what kind of correlations we can find between that and interactions in the topic. Scum would be very deliberate with who they chose, whether that's collectively or as individuals.

This exercise does not townclear Crescent or Wallz, of course, and I dont think that this is in any way indicative of who scum is or isnt yet. But its something to keep in mind for later when we kill another one of em.

This is why I don't buy American makes. They want a lot of excess $$$ so they con people into a replacement cycle by magic overpriced junk instead of building vehicles to last. They want it even shorter than five years, but know they can't get away with that while foreign brands build better cars.

Rodgers is an old man who is coming off his worst statistical season. He's no longer worth the salary he's asking for - and I say this from a Packer fan perspective. I see why Gutekunst wants to ditch him while he's worth something.

Jets need to realize that one pick is all he's worth, especially given the monster contract. If the Packers are to eat some of that, the Jets should trade a 3rd for a Packers 5th or something. I'm not expecting anything beyond one pick and one upgrade. I don't think the Jets are dumb even though they're trading for someone they'll get one season out of, two if they're lucky.

Wallz looks exactly like I did in Nickelodeon Mafia. At least that's my impression. Newbie scum being coached and getting very defensive of being scanned, plus having someone trying to protect him (Ulti). The true reason I got defensive of being scanned was because I was scum that game. I feel he's doing the same thing, only he has a buddy covering for him.
