I read the NYT article that mostly exposes the story about it. There are a lot of parts to the story but the TLDR is that the dude who masterminded the "posture photos", Herbert Sheldon, was really into eugenics - specifically how body types correlate with intelligence / success. And probably to some degree held a related opinion that, because your body type is genetic, different races probably had different ceilings of intelligence too.

He's also the dude who invented the made-up somatotype mesomorph endomorph stuff that people still repeat. The article notes "By the time Hillary Rodham arrived on the Wellesley campus, women were allowed to have their pictures taken only partly nude". It was written in 1995 and the wikipedia page mostly pulls from it, so not really clear what newer updates there are in this story other than that definitely not all of the photos are burned since the wikipedia page references a bunch of them coming up recently on auction sites.

The allegations were all false. Both times he had evidence it was the women setting him up and trying to get money.

I don't know how more people can't see this. They've won the popular vote one time since the internet started to be adopted by average households, and they've never won it since social media and smartphones became widespread with Obama's first election.

No. The books went out of their way by the end to say how things aren't black and white like that and lumping all the kids in one house as good and evil wasn't the right and accurate thing to be doing. I also disagree that the other two are "filler houses." They were sorted based off traits they have and value. Not all kids could be divided by either "brave" or "ambitious/cunning."

1. Different things are different. If you want to argue that there's a widespread double standard, find an example that's actually comparable. That's kind of essential to the concept of a double standard.
2. If you find that example, I will condemn it. My criticism is not based on gender, it's based on behavior. It is not empowering for a 40-50 year old woman to date a teenager. How does that affect your strawman?

There's litterally tons of people who graduated college like me in their late 20s and my ex partner was the same age. College studies do not follow the same pattern as high school, but I do admit that at my age, I would feel very uncomfortable dating someone 18/19 even though my partner is younger(25 and I am 34)

The funny thing is it's never 19 or 20 yr olds complaining about him dating younger girls. It's always older women who are pissed off they don't look as good or get as much attention as they did when they were younger.
