They aren't equal as insults, but I think the poster was drawing attention to the pattern of using a term wildly inappropriately.

I don't see the "Two dozen topics" you mention - I *do* see quite a few posts where people are saying actions of a person/group have similarities to actions undertaken by Nazis. Do you believe that's a bad thing?

If an area is under some degree of government oversight, I'd say the residents have "less of a voice" ...

I might be biased though, as almost all instances of this that I've known personally have been rather blatant attempts at discrimination...

I don't see the employees owning the homes outright. But maybe after 20 years of employment they would. That or their just be for employees to rent at a decent discount.

I was really impressed with the two seasons on Netflix - do the books got beyond that? I thought they did a good job balancing world building and character drive story

You forgot/ignored my first question (So to be clear, the only thing that defines if the position has value is whether they hired someone? Like, nothing else a person in that position does matters?) and didn't actually answer the second. Neither the thread title nor OP's post said "somebody being disabled means they can do no wrong". They included it because Musk brought it up as a way to dismiss the issue ("claimed as his excuse that he had a disability that kept him from typing). Why did you make the leap from that to "people saying disabled people can do no wrong"?

There seems to be some useful and ethical applications of lying/presenting flasehood but the practice seems terribly abused...

Important to be specific on this.

The SC wouldn't be prohibiting interracial marriage. They would be overturning Loving v. Virginia. This would take the question of interracial marriage back to the states.

And THEN the MAGA states would pounce.

Also I think the Respect for Marriage Act was mentioned earlier.

A state making a law banning same-sex marriage or interracial marriage would NOT be in violation of the RfMA.

Because that law says that all states must recognize any marriage that took place in a state where the marriage was legal.

So a state banning certain marriages would have to respect that kind of marriage from someone out of state, but they can still prevent new marriages from being recognized AND declare marriages that took place in their state as unrecognized.

I'm surprised that a state law banning homosexual marriage hasn't been challenged and passed up the courts to the SC yet...
