Someone already suggested Hellsing, so I'm going to say Hellsing Ultimate.

Hellsing tells its own story after a certain point, Ultimate follows the manga story.

Same situation as Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, basically.

Actually wait. TC, have you seen Fullmetal Alchemist? I feel like no one suggested it because they assume you've seen it. One of the goats, if you haven't watched it. The first series is good, but goes off the rails because they caught up to the manga and created their own ending. Brotherhood skips a lot of the early story that the first series covers and goes with the manga's ending.

Well if you liked Durarara then I'm assuming you've also seen Baccano. If not, definitely watch that. Same creator as Durarara and just as chaotic.

That was a good read. Sucks though that they kind of avoided some questions like if this game will have more parts than previous games. It which precious game will this be similar to. Overall though, I'm excited for this.

Im aware of that and nor do I expect that. But! The old AC games are really geared towards mecha heads that care more about customization and its effects rather than a well presented story/progression. They were kinda arcadey is what I mean with this.

That's what AC fans want though. The heavy amount of customization is the biggest selling point

Because it fell off really hard in its second week, and the budget+marketing was enormous so it hasn't broken even money wise yet.

It's a shame too because it's a fantastic movie. I hope they make another, despite the lackluster showing it's had

if we're breaking it down to the basest levels of friendship then both guy and girl should come without any baggage(like being taken) and at the very first glance should look at each other and think "that's a person i could be friends with" instead of he/she being "hot/cute/sweet" etc. basically anything that signifies an attraction since the true platonic friend-"ship" has already sailed at that point.

everything else just seems like coping with the situation... like one already asked the other one out and got denied so they stayed friends as if there were any other real choice. or one or both are taken and decide to be friends as if there were any other real choice that wouldn't upend their lives.

You can decide "that's a person I could be friends with" while also finding them hot/cute. I do it with several of my friends. The key is that I don't want to date someone based solely on the fact that I'm attracted to her. Because, there are tons of women that I find attractive. Doesn't mean she'll make a good girlfriend though. Her personality, hobbies, quirks, habits, etc., matter too.

Like in the case of one of my friends, she's cute and we have some common hobbies, but I've never hit on her. I know what I want and need in a relationship and she wouldn't fit that (and I doubt I fit what she wants either). And plenty of people are like that, where they acknowledge that they're better off as friends. She is a good friend though. She let me vent about my dating woes and was happy for me when I met my now girlfriend.

Kids aren't for everyone. They are definitely a lot of work, but it's cool seeing them grow up.

Generally yes, guys and girls can just be friends. What Matt is talking about in his standup is completely different.

Having regular opposite gender friends is not the same as having a friend that secretly wants to get with you. Like my ex had plenty of male friends, and they were cool guys. But there was one, just one, that gave me the "oh he's secretly trying to fuck her" vibes. And sure enough... She's my ex now because fuck that lol.

Just watched the finale. It was overall pretty good, but it felt rushed. Some things resolved too quickly and others didn't get resolved at all. Like wtf happened to the tie fighters and bombers? They were still attacking the cruiser when the scene changed, then they were just gone...

Well those bigots lost their minds just from Ariel being black. So I'd imagine adding in LGBTQ characters would cause much bigger meltys. Would be kind of hilarious to see, actually.

*Customer looks at coffee pot that's still actively brewing*

Customer: "There's enough in that pot for my coffee, just pour some now."
Co-worker: "I can't do that while it's still brewing."
Customer: "Well I'm just going to cancel my order then."

Nah, I'm fine without tint. California law used to ban any level of tiny on the front windshield and front side windows, but now you can have tint of 70% VLT on those. Still not worth the hassle of getting pulled over because your windows looked too dark.
