The plot felt very secondary compared to the goal of "what if you punched your past self while travelling back in time and then a building reverse blew up"

I legitimately had no idea how the time mechanics were supposed to work until the final act of the movie when you see it in practice

Which is why I think they wrote out the conflict over the Darksaber ownership, at least for the time being - this allows Din to not necessarily be chained down to the retaking / ruling Mandalore plotline and frees him up to return to the episodic adventure format whenever it's convenient.

Which is exactly what they did in Rebels when Sabine gave away the darksaber for no reason to somebody she barely knew lol

You need to realize what you're doing when you make posts like this.

Executives read this and think "Morbius should go back to theatres and Jared Leto should say Morbin Time" and then you have to live with that.

Nerds seem to get their panties in a bunch over little details like this. Would it actually benefit the movie in any tangible way, or would it just guarantee that you don't see a half decent Zelda movie for the next two decades?

I don't think it was a bad episode, it was definitely enjoyable in its own way. Its probably above average for the season.

It just doesn't inspire confidence in the overall direction of the show going forward.

I always see comments about how this show is exploring the nature of cults and traditions and the negative effects they can have on people but I genuinely don't think the show is clever enough for that. I don't think it's going to end with the Mandalorians abandoning their beliefs, they're just gonna brute force their way through their problems and conclude that their the way is the best the way.

It feels completely alien that a decade ago the clone wars show was very anti-mandalorian and their main conflict was about whether or not to embrace pacifism.

Big "eating mothballs" energy. I don't think they know what to do with the series and are just throwing crap at the wall (like the sequel trilogy, heyo).

Stunning that season 2 of the Bad Batch, which is very much a children's cartoon, had a much stronger narrative arc and character growth.

Prime Remastered actually gives me some degree of hope for it. Retro very obviously put a lot of work into that remaster to get it looking that good on the Switch. That's more work than would generally be worthwhile just for a remaster, which suggests to me that Remastered was a probably trial run for an engine they've developed to use for a new game. That engine is likely optimized enough for the Switch that it won't be a simple matter to port it over to its successor, so this all probably means Prime 4 is still intended to come out on the Switch.
