It's so hard to rank an album like this compared to most other genres because you don't really have a "main part" of each song to latch onto, like a chorus or a leitmotif. You really have to consider every song as a beginning-to-end entity. And then Ad Lib on Nippon was the hardest song to rank because it's so many different things at once.

As far as ranking these pieces go, I feel like this could go in any order - I really prefer this as a full work.

After all the hype I've heard about Xenoblade here for the past decade, I have found the first hour or so very underwhelming. Plenty of systems I don't care about, a battle system/structure that seems like an awkward amalgamation of FFXII, Dragon Age: Origins, and Tales of/Okami, and the "Definitive Edition" graphical update/overhaul only seems to extend to primary character models because everything else looks very rough.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles somehow isn't on any of the Sega/Genesis collections I have (really annoying when I have four of them!) so I might pass on that.

This is a set of pop songs that are somehow catchy yet non-infectious - despite the title, "Can't Get You Out of My Head" is a perfect anti-ear worm. It commands attention as it plays, but is just mellow enough not to stick around and annoy. The full album largely sustains that perfect balance.

and on the flip side I've been finding the Eternal Darkness content to be kinda boring because the focus is almost never the game itself, just whatever dumb fake sanity effects Dan and Grubb can come up with for Bakalar

I'm not sure I like this specific idea, but I have been trying to conceptualize weeks with unrelated songs. Like, instead of an album, everyone in the user cycle chooses 1 song each and we rank them. That way, we can share our individual favorites. Maybe it could be a bonus round to end the full cycles with or something.

• Dan can be great but at the same time super fucking annoying, like when hes completely off topic into his psychosis while a game is being played.
• Grubb is a great addition; lots of rally good energy and plays well off the rest of the staff
• Jan is still a low key MVP.
• Jess is good because shes got a different background than the rest. More intellectual. Self aware, sometimes to her own detriment.
• Jeff Bhes good as the straight man/host but not who I come to GB for. And I say that as someone whos been listening to him for 15+ years on various podcasts.

Sounds like the Nazi is better at explaining his stances and points then. Lol. Maybe you should learn how to engage and have discussion like that Nazi then. Converting 10 different people of other ideologies to their stance is actually quite impressive.

Almost everyone has somewhere they are coming from in their stances. It's seeing where they are coming from and trying to make them see why another way is better that is the winning ticket. Just because you feel your way is better does not mean you actually do or they will agree your way is better

Has it been your choice all three times? Maybe that's a good reason to do two a month, gives more chances to pull a variety.
