The only things that annoy me with W11 is that I know need to click another button to change the speaker and clicking another button to get to a right click setting I want to use.

Yeah that's what got me over it. I kinda suck at boss fights and it takes me a while to really figure out the patterns as I choke under pressure.

Having to redo an entire section (or game technically) to get back to the boss was just...no thank you.

I might try it again one day but I certainly wasn't in the right mindset when I tried last time. I don't think these games are for me.

I was a little disappointed at how well TS2's campaign stood up. It's still fun enough though.

Never got the GTA games or Max Payne games.

Got Hitman 2 but not Hitman Contracts.

Didn't get random FPS games like Black, Red Faction, Brothers in Arms and stuff like that.

The ports it got were fine though yeah.

It has been a while since Sony has announced a first party game (outside of maybe a PSVR2 game I don't remember). Looks like it's still a while away. It's just Spider-man 2 this year then?

It would be cheaper to buy a PS5 with no trade-in compared to upgrading your computer.

Even if an AI could generate a varied amount of interiors that all make sense they'd still have a long way to go.

Presumably you'd want NPC's to be in those interiors. So what they do in there also needs to make sense. Do they now have day/night cycles? Do they get in and out of bed? What do they do when idle? How do they respond to you intruding? How much of this is varied and believable?

That's just houses. What about offices? Do they have security guards?

Just think of the sheer variety real life has compared to a video game. They can barely develop open world cities as is. Which is why most open world games have gone for ancient or post-apocalyptic settings.

What's the point of being a stooge for a champion who is never going to let you exceed him or even disagree with him on anything? The storyline they were telling was that Roman Reigns was clearly getting fed up that Sami was getting cheered while he was getting booed.

Yeah games like Hitman and Deus Ex do an amazing job recreating like a city block. But the scale for that work in an open world city would be crazy.

I feel like there's a risk (and this is probably why GTA style games are barely made anymore) that the more realistic you push things the worse it actually holds up.

Like think of the sheer variety of homes, buildings and stores you can enter in day to day life. Even if it was randomly generated how is that going to actually hold up?

I think the best solution for this could maybe be player generated content that the game lifts from but even that would be a huge push forward of handling all of that data.

Would suck ass if it had a lame theme song that stuck around for over three decades.

We get our groceries delivered. Don't remember the last time we had a normal grocery shopping trip. Was a while before our second was born. Saves a lot of time for us to do other stuff.

It's funny with a second kid. You just sort of have to get out there and deal with it for the sake of your first. In a weird way it ends up making it easier since the baby somehow seems to know they don't have all of the attention compared to the first. But sometimes we just have those bad days where we didn't have the nap timing down or it's a bit longer between feeds. But overall it seems to go okay.

It's a weird adjustment overall. Looking forward to when we go down to two and eventually one nap a day though. Maybe we can handle having a dinner out in a month or two again lol

I dunno how you guys who both work full time do it (or single parents for that matter). We've been quite lucky where my wife stretched out her maternity leave for a year (and goes back part time) and I work from home 4 days a week.

its a way to use her own IP to combat her influence. If thats worth the trouble is another discussion, but the point is instead of plugging your ears and pretending a thing doesnt exist, you can instead make that thing work for you in a meaningful way.

i personally dont care though cause the donations for this one specific event likely wont be enough to matter in any substantial way.

It's a double edged sword as they're promoting the game itself which leads to more money for Rowling. Not to mention all of the extra attention this game just gets in general and not in a good way.

Don't really think it's much of a missed opportunity at all.

Older Harry Potter games aren't relevant enough to make much of a difference and any streaming of Hogwarts Legacy is free marketing for the game.

Sorta. The execution of it really depends. The best executions of it are when you suddenly find yourself in an old area from finding a new entry point which then leads to another exit you can now use or that your new abilities find yourself traversing old areas a lot quicker. It's a tough balance to combine the feeling of rediscovering old areas in a fresh way with a new ability and tedium of walking through the same areas several times with the same enemies that feels the same.

I'm not making a statement of MP specifically as I haven't got back into it yet.
