Always wondered why all their high concept/high art games (Greedfall, A Plague's Tale, Evil West, and now Atomic Heart) felt kinda cheap and shallow under the hood. Damn, the industry is a mess :( --- New York Rangers [2004-2008] https://media.giphy.com/media/WvQHBYW0q4TuxdAg61/giphy.gif https://psnprofiles.com/Jaromiroquai68 ... Copied to Clipboard!

I like A Plague's Tale so that's a shame. It's very, very tough for AA games to make money now unfortunately. --- A Fallen Mascot ... Copied to Clipboard!

Punished_Blinx posted... I like A Plague's Tale so that's a shame. It can be sort of done if the games are simple enough like a retro sidescroller or a boomer shooter but a full fledged 3D game on an outsourced engine...yeah it is. Guessing it's not enough programmers and time to afford employees to clean things up before a launch window. Hence the cheap factor. --- New York Rangers [2004-2008] https://media.giphy.com/media/WvQHBYW0q4TuxdAg61/giphy.gif https://psnprofiles.com/Jaromiroquai68 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Seems more and more that you either have to go AAA or go indie, and there's little middle ground. Unless you're Nintendo and can afford to make AA games because you don't have to shoot for multiple platforms and state-of-the-art hardware. --- 11/8/2022 - The day the Blue Wall intercepted the Red Wave. ...
