I think they added extra frames to the animations at least but I can't tell offhand if they're just relying on the extended animations that have already been made by fans or if they put in their own work. Maps look very amateur too. Maybe they just didn't show the interesting ones but my sense is that they fell into the trap of "big rectangles are easy, I'll just make a map that's all big rectangles". But then Elise is clearly the best one by a huge margin and Ryoma, Hinoka, and Sakura are all about as interesting as flavorless gum. Really a toss up! Edit: This is about character writing, not how powerful the units are if that wasn't obvious.
