You got warned for mentioning the admin multiple times after being told multiple times there's nothing else to be done other than the feedback ticket.

Trying to pester them isn't going to make things go any faster.

Cheers for the response. I do completely accept that and I wont do it again. But please dont see it as trolling or trying to be on the wind up. Ive been on here for over 20 years and want to see the site do well. Ive never used an ad block before and often encourage others not to because I assume ads are the primary revenue stream for the site and I want it to do well. The site has changed hands a number of times in recent years which is sometimes an indication of it not doing so well and companies coming in, thinking they can change things around, realise they cant and then sell to the next person to try and fix it.

My frustration is Im not convinced the new admin is aware of the ongoing issues. Yes he might be able to see the feedback tickets (it hasnt been confirmed he can) but I worry he doesnt understand the wider context.

It would be good for more communication and clarity from the admins on this. Even if its just an overarching we are aware there are big issues with the current ad strategy and are working to resolve them.

Its not an issue with just one or two rogue ads. Its bigger than that. The communication so far doesnt seem to acknowledge this and Im worried the admins just see this as a minor issue. I dont feel it is.

Is that a thing? The only time Ive seen people done before is due to posting mod pics with the original offence still in them.

I am not @ any admins in this topic. Nor am I derailing any other topics. The only reason this topic would be locked is if the mods were trying to hide the issues with the ads which I dont believe they are. What does irk me is I was warned and in the comments they chastised me for discussing ads I had already raised a feedback ticket for. This just isnt true as I already have one open for a previous ad so cant raise one for the recent ads.

How long has said feedback ticket been open?

Since the 18th. I updated the post above with a screenshot.

I have a feeling the ads change every 7 days or so automatically so they just dont reply to the ad tickets for a week and then claim the ads have been changed but they are anyway. I really do feel like the current ad feedback system isnt fit for purpose and hope the new admin is able to at least communicate this back to fandom HQ as the mods cant and Allen seems unwilling to do so based on the fact the issue has been going on for over half a decade based on searching Google and seeing similar issues from long long time ago.

I got warned for @ the new admin asking if he will sort out the ad issues. Im hoping as he has come from Fandom that he will have greater scope, visibility and influence in sorting out long standing issues like the ads which have been going on for almost half a decade.

So please dont @ the admins asking them if they will fix issues.

The ironic thing below is I didnt actually raise a feedback ticket for the ad I was complaining about because the previous ads have had a feedback ticket open for over a week now.

On the trans issues? I have noticed the most vocal people on the boycott never had any intention of playing the game anyway. Its easy to boycott something you were never going to play anyway. Ive noticed the same people refusing to commit to boycotting other games with similar or worse connections to hate speech etc.

I dont care of people personally boycott the game. Its there right. What I do hate is the hypocrisy involved with people who wont commit to boycotting other games or products with similar if not worse issues surrounding them.

Its easy to boycott and be vocal on a game or product you had no intention to play.

Is he gonna sort out the ad crap?

guy #1 is clearly dedicated to his job. how do you expect him to become manager material if you're not willing to take him on and train him in a managerial role? leave for another company, then come back later when there's (another, maybe) management position available? that's stupid and disrepectful. he's invested himself fully in the job, do you not think you should invest in him too?

guy #2 has personality issues, which will be hearder to unlearn than to teach another employee management skills. his promotion will also most likely have a negative impact on morale, and remember, people leave managers, not jobs.

Why is the assumption that the only way to progress is to join management. Maybe there are other avenues available to him.

The game was based off a book. Or at least the source material. The game came out in the past hence the past tense.

I struggle with cards that spawn other cards.

I swear the rules are so badly explained in terms of what each card does. How do you even start to get good at this game? I feel like every time I pick up a new card I need to look it up online to see what it actually does.
