Medication is a valuable tool that some people just need. It isn't a crutch, it isn't a last resort, it is a valid option that especially when combined with therapy fucking saves lives.

I actually developed something of a spending addiction due to my depression. I would just buy whatever I wanted, but could reasonably hide and never disclose the true nature of my spending. I just wanted to cover up the depression with "NEW THING." This obviously doesn't work so, more NEWER THING came next.

Thankfully I'm working very hard at tackling this because it was making me feel like I was drowning even more than I felt

We dont know the long term effects. Possibly permanent sterility, loss of the ability to achieve orgasm, problems with bone growth. Puberty doesnt just affect the genitals, it affects the brain and whole body. And this is all completely new, so we cant know the long term effects.

I would gladly deal with all of that if it meant I didn't develop "male sexual characteristics." I'm sure the vast vast majority of trans people are willing to take those risks in order to have their lives bettered immensely.

I'm not sure I agree. Obviously being depressed is different from suffering from depression, but life circumstances and trauma can definitely cause one to suffer from depression.

Anyways, yeah, diagnosed and on medication for it. Stopped seeing a therapist after my last one went to a different company and the idea of reestablishing myself with another therapist is just life draining to even think about.

My psych had my depression written down as "chronic", so I know what you mean. My average day is just crawling to the next one, holding on just long enough in the hopes that I'll die soon enough. I don't have a future and life brings me very little joy even on "good" days.

there have been times where my medication and therapy helped me feel less badly, but i've come to terms with this being a likely permanent thing.

persistent depressive disorder is unfortunately typically treatment resistant :\ and it doesn't help that my current meds aren't effective at the prescribed dosage, but ha gathering the energy to get a doctors appointment knowing it means i have to deal with not only going to the doctors, but also the pharmacy, and contacting my medical provider to get my doctors visit costs added to my financial assistance plan

shits so goddamn draining, i see so many people that i went to school with or grew up with just posting about how much stuff they do in a day, but i am struggling to even make it through a day at work or to manage my own health properly

I have persistent depression disorder, so no. Every day is finding ways to just get by, finding some enjoyment in small things here and there, but overall...being alive is definitely not a source of joy.

It is endless misery, endless fog, all filled with cheap attempts to imitate what happiness is supposed to be.

There's legitimately no decent-looking Android UIs out there. The custom theming community is still stuck in the early/mid-2010s.

One UI is clean and via the use of Good Lock you can make it do just about anything you want. The tools Samsung provides users to get the most out of their phone is impressive.
