I legit didn't know Agnaktor was in any way liked prior to Magma Almu's reveal lmao. All the sudden ppl be acting like Agnaktor is a beloved mainstay. He appeared in 3U, GU, and Stories.

But compared to Magma Almu, Agnaktor shoots beams as projectiles, and Magma Almu uses heated up rocks and places them around like traps. They have similarities but the way you fight them is so differerent

Agnaktor also has that armor gimmick, and he's pretty annoying for most weapons without innate mind's eye effect

people act like that with any new monster hunter game

I tried CB in base Rise but it felt so slow, it was relatively complex to learn and iy WHIFFED SO GODDAMN MUCH with those GODAWFUL hitboxes.

you need to be a fuckin CHAD to use charge blade or hammer, and then switch axe goes "haha morph spam gg" like seriously given a few seconds of free reign i can go BONKERS on a monster with the switch axe morph attacks,

yeah i don't have the resolve to use any other weapons, i guess i could shove a longsword in here, i already have the CB. the good thing is building sets doesn't take much time since i have the basics down with the useful armors, just making the weapons is where i sometimes have to jump in a hunt or two.

made a few sets now, the MR grind is so slow that i'm only like MR 103 or 106 LOL. but i made a sword and shield, 2 switch axes, 3 great swords, 4 hunting horns, 3 LBGs so far. I'm using the chameleos LBG as my status gunner because damn that weapon has like every type of ammo.

now i have to fight furious rajang for his horns. god please bless me

i say the true buildmaking doesn't start until MR 100 and everything until then is just progression builds

xp from the arena quest is starting to drop off a cliff lol at 96 its not even a full level anymore

about to be MR 100 if anyone needs to unlock the final tier of their weapons or wants to check out its gera

Was grinding Furious Rajang for a heart to try out his switch axe but it took like 6 hunts and I got a headache fighting the crazy monkey that NEVER STOPS MOVING.

thats how i feel about tigrex, fucker does not stop moving and roaring and he's my most hated monster

I don't find the giant one room boss with monster HP fights to be fun in any monster hunter game, and since all the stories are the same thing i know they're coming and its always my least favorite part.

Just did it with 3 randoms and all of them carted at the same time when she had the blue skull. I'm tempted to say "Fuck chargeblade" and build a different armor set but i've already come so far i feel like i have to see it through now lol

i attempted her solo just now with a lbg and it was not fun... she has cheap hitboxes. i switched to swagaxe and started doing big dick DPS and even with all my defense buffs she sitll nearly killed my ass lmao

i need to summon a gang of the hardest hitting hunters for narwa. This guy in MP wasted 2 carts back to back so i just kicked him, we ended up losing and i feel like i should have just returned from the quest instead of trying to force it lol

I tried that Palamute setup I keep seeing with the Silkbinder thing a few times and it seems pretty decent. My one dog managed to topple Kushala Daora midair twice and the back/wings on every Monster keep getting destroyed with little effort. I bothered to get two perfect dogs back in Rise because they KO'd and applied status effects at a stupid good rate, but with it being so easy to get perfect pet setups I'm not sure what combo to stick with. At least double Gathering Palico's is still nice for farming.

what setup is that?

went form MR 70 to 76, one more hunt and i'll be MR 78 probably. 22 more levels to go >_>

the MR Val set seems pretty good as a general purpose set
