I've been looking for a show that is the anti-Ted Lasso - something that is wholly dysfunctional and relishes the toxicity. And I mean jesus, it's amazing. Absolutely fucking amazing. It never relents with absolutely stressful bullshit and dysfunction. It may not end up sitting about The Rehearsal or Winning Time, but damn, it's a fantastic show. And for me, Susie is a fascinating opportunity to explore someone so similar to Tomorrow Woman - a being desperate to understand why they can't be a sympathetic complement to the humans around them. Susie is equally as broken as Tomorrow Woman, but by sheer force of will, she is managing to to unlearn all of the defenses she's erected around herself.
