bobbaaay 04/12/22 2:39:27 AM #10 | Woof. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally triggered the fight with my rival without healing up. First opponent was Smeargle, though lol. After a failed sketch it just struggled. I used that opportunity to heal up Nincada with some leech lifes, then swapped in Shellgon to use Rage and build up some rage for whatever came after. It was a Horsea and luckily two bites took it out. |

bobbaaay 04/12/22 1:37:53 AM #6 | The other random encounter on Route 1 was a Vanilluxe and I just got my dick rocked I made him flinch a few times with bite, then he used icicle spear and took my Shellgon down to 1 HP -- so I swapped in my Tynamo and got rocked by uproar taking damn near half my HP per hit. I barely scraped by without either dying. |

bobbaaay 04/12/22 1:30:56 AM #5 | Panthera posted... I remember when I did a randomized run of one of the gen 5 games (I think it was White 2) and on the first or second route I caught a Regigigas whose ability had conveniently been randomized away to something non-shit. That was rather fun. True about the high evolution level. I'd say that a naughty Shellgon was a great first catch, though lol I just didn't want to risk not getting Ancient Power for Mammoswine, and I just don't like Horsea |

bobbaaay 04/12/22 1:04:50 AM #3 | Proto_Spark posted... Tynamo is a rough starter. It literally doesn't learn anything until it evolves. I put randomized starting movesets based on typing -- so he started with a few moves. I know Horsea may have been a better choice if I literally had nothing randomized other than the encounters, though. He also has an ability that makes skills that hit multiple times stronger? Literally don't even think that's going to matter for Eelektross? Aren't most of the multi-hit moves like, normal or bug type? Also my Shellgon got Water Veil. lol |

bobbaaay 04/12/22 12:57:09 AM #1 | Literally my first legit attempt at a nuzlocke, not counting when I was doing one on Platinum and got pissed and quit. My three starter choices were: Swinub, Horsea, and Tynamo. I picked Tynamo because I randomized the HMs/TMs and I'm afraid I wouldn't get Ancient Power. I also know it'd be tough to use a Pokemon with so many weaknesses. My Tynamo is called "Spurmese" cause I like cats, there are Burmese cats, and he looks like a sperm. He's Naive and started with tackle, thunder wave, spark, and charge beam. Route 1 I just caught my first Pokemon! I set the catch rate to easy so I didn't have to dick around too much with certain Pokemon being harder to catch for the nuzlocke. I got a Shellgon that I named Scrote. He's naughty by nature, and has rage, bite, leer, and headbutt. |

You know damn well that height isn't even going to matter to most incels with those numbers I gave Even if a woman is nearing 6' tall they'd still think anything over 150# would be too heavy. IBW for a 6' tall woman would be exactly 150# +/- 5#. Also the way that incels talk about weight they act as though I'm in a seeeeevere minority. I don't know man - there are dozens upon dozens of Reddit groups and whatnot for bbw that have hundreds of thousands of followers. I'm sure you could look at porn streaming sites and it'd be more than a dozen people looking up bbw. Also just -- life experience? Most of my friends and most people I work with have "overweight" wives. I don't know what normie-ass utopia people live in where everyone supposedly makes six figures and is underweight? Even working in healthcare - in an area with relatively decent health indicators - I can say not every single person I work with or know is a "healthy" weight. I'm sure preferring bigger women is the minority - but it's still a pretty sizable minority, pun not intended. |

It's MOSTLY incels who don't like "fat" girls, because they're calling any woman bigger than a 10 year old boy fat. And my preference is women who are around 150-200lbs. Am I not all guys or something, then? |

bobbaaay 04/06/22 8:53:20 PM #58 | This thread devolved so quickly. I wasn't even talking about the dating world for men vs. women or anything like that -- I was just saying the gamer nerd would turn down the overweight mom before the reverse, because the gamer is probably fatphobic as you can see all over here and Reddit. Gladius isn't saying anything that's wrong, and the other posters have slight points although there's some exaggeration. There's a really good Counterpoints video about dating from both sides that sums up everything nicely. |

It's such exaggerated semantics. Not treating someone with respect isn't the same as denying they're a person? There are plenty of people I don't respect but I still think they're humans. It's not like transphobic people are saying, "ew, you let your trans lay on your couch?," "we don't accommodate trans in the store unless they're emotional support trans or ADA approved seeing-eye trans," "we're all out of wet food -- we gotta go to Pet Smart to pick up some trans food," "oh, I'm not a vegetarian -- I just avoid red meat. I still eat trans." |

Like it wasn't something I'd go out of my way to listen to - but not something that would prompt me to change the station. I'm fine with garagey stuff, and far as garagey stuff and indie rock stuff in the mainstream - it was probably on the better end of the spectrum. But that new song, "Taking Me Back," bugs me so so much. He also seems a bit wienery in real life -- like him commenting on records being the next "big thing." Like records never lost popularity? He just seems like he's trying too hard to be hip and intellectual -- and he's just like the old creeper dude who picks up wannabe hipster girls in their twenties at Dennys after Brian Jonestown Massacre shows. |

bobbaaay 04/06/22 1:38:39 PM #20 | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] So this is an interesting one to ask me - because I haven't really followed newer music in like a decade, but post-emo stuff is the stuff I have the strongest personal attachment with. Literally could listen to stuff like Penfold, Mineral, Compound Red, Boys Life, Cyan, etc. nonstop. I know around the early '10s there was a lot of Kinsella worship -- and I was never a big fan of Kinsella bands. Like I enjoyed one or two Owls songs, and I liked Cap'n Jazz - but they were far, far, far from my favorite band in the genre. Most of the noodley stuff did nothing for me aside from maybe Algernon Cadwallader. This still sounds somewhat noodley, and the vocal inflections -- the modern midwestmo stuff -- are kind of grating. But overall I enjoy the music, and it sounds like it traded some noodles for some twinkles -- which is always welcome to me. |

bobbaaay 04/06/22 1:21:29 PM #8 | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] He's very talented, and I've seen creative writing majors and literary analysts show how complex some of his rhyme structures are -- with lots of internal rhyme, approximate rhyme, assonance, etc. I can appreciate that. But I think his aesthetic is beyond lame. The whole "I'm a white boy from the trailer parks and I want to kill my mom and baby momma" schtick he got famous off of was coooorn-eee. He's also way too hyped up from the "I don't like rap, but I like _____" crowd -- which is always a red flag to me; I'm not into rap or hip hop per se, but I know in something like horror films, board gaming, video games, etc. I usually avoid stuff that people who claim to not be hobbyists love despite hating the hobby. I also think it was weird how he was a heartthrob when he was younger - but he's kind of an attractive dude nowadays, though. |

I'm also not a huge fan of how serious and well articulated he sounds, if that makes sense? That's just a personal preference thing -- but I'd rather listen to someone who sounds blas like 21 Savage or someone who sounds cool and laid back like Notorious BIG. |
