And I appreciate being able to revise your build in D3 to an extent because *not* being able to do that in Diablo 2 really sucked. I know there are people who ladder characters to max in like 2 hours because they know the game so well, but for a normal person playing the game, that shit takes dozens of hours. And then to have version 1.09 come out and wreck every build in existence? Yeah, I never went back to it after that because none of my characters were playable.

Might as well bring this back one time to see if anyone wants to try it again.

Star Wing - A 90's space flight sim, a la Tie Fighter or Wing Commander. Probably also has some fleetbuilding aspect to it like EVE Online.

If you hold it down, it rises to the top. You need to keep it hovering in the middle, so you have to on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off the button constantly. Which is exactly how those old one-button altitude control games work.

Last job I left was because I got berated by the boss after requesting she do something about a problem patron and she decided to chew me out instead. Which, by itself was fine because this wasn't a "doesn't stand with your employees" moment, but this talk went on for over an hour over the incident on a day when I was literally thinking about calling a suicide hotline instead of going into work that day.

Have to imagine the livestream will be announced today. They've got to do it this weekend, right?

It doesn't actually affect me personally because I nommed everything I really care about but the point is its never going to be completely fair for everyone. There are definitely people who missed out because the nomination windows were so small. imo it's more unfair to close nominations so early when the previous contests had much longer nomination periods, so no one expected them to close so fast. Besides, I don't think anyone would mind if you bumped up the cut-off anyway (and as far as I can tell, they could change their noms anyway if they wanted to)

of course, it's your contest and you should do whatever you think is right, but that's my two cents

Sumeru waiting room, except that the content in 2.8 is freaking huge. I played for like 3 hours yesterday and I don't even feel like I made a dent. I've got the shorter events done, but for the island, I've finished Kazuha's quest portion, and apparently now there's still some kind of dungeon thing afterward. I only realized after spinning two islands around for a while to explore them.

Still got a bunch of backlogged quests I never got to. At this rate, I don't think I'm gonna. Hope they don't punish me for that later. I do like the quests. I just want to do them on my terms rather than rushing them for the sake of completion.

Frozen Valley

A high-school mystery adventure taking place in the titular town of Frozen Valley, a quiet, low-populated perpetual winter wonderland where the temperatures never drop below 32F, despite being located in the southern US. You play as Ann Manning, a 17-year old high school senior who witnesses a strange creature on her walk home from school and must uncover the mysteries of the town and battle the weird monsters that lurk on the borders of her once peaceful home. Gameplay is balanced between a school sim during the day where you must convince classmates and teachers of what you saw and a survival horror adventure at night, until the lines increasingly blur and the monsters' surreal effects become more evident. There's an emphasis on homemade weapons & puzzle solving.

That's really cool, snake. I hope some other people are inspired. Granted, half these titles sound like cheap mobile games, but there's potential here, especially for those willing to tweak the name a little.

I don't, as I'm generally opposed to the idea, but I think I'm going to start now.

As a kid, I loved JRPGs. I think that pretty much was at an end by the time I got to college, though. I can still appreciate one, but I prefer games that aren't primarily grinding through turn-based battles.

I feel like I've read a billion novel descriptions that sound like this. Especially contemporary fantasy where there's some consequence for the woman having a child or the child not being fully human or whatever.
