Flip-flopper! :p

I don't mind being wrong. I've used cakewalk so much back in the day and so many weird instruments that it skewed my perception. Knowing real instruments was 6th grade to say 12th. After high school I went digital. Went to Yanni concerts, etc. I got synth on the brain.

Gotta remember, I'm from an era back when synth was shitty too. Back when we didn't have the high fi soundbanks like we do now. I had forgotten what in balls an oboe even was. I do remember the one girl that had it in band though. Her name was Shaun or Shawn or Sean and they made her play bass drum in the marching band instead. Kinda fucked up, but she was a trooper for volunteering.

I also remember we bonded over liking the X-Files and apparently the Fandom called theirselves X-Files back then. I'm guessing xphile. Back then I was aware enough to know it might be spelled that way. I was kinda a jock/nerd mix breed back then.

I started with Trombone as a hand-me-down. Then I went to military school and got into the drum core. Then when I got kicked out of military school I started piano. I stole a couple flutes for my friend and me. I remember wanting to be able to use a wood flute like Link and charm the forest creatures. I wanted to be Peter Pan as a kid too. That was too signs I didn't listen to. My mind was telling me who I was.

I probably should've focused on that. Nothing is cooler than jamming on a wood flute. This guy I found doing a live on tiktok. He does pan flute too.

https://youtu.be/6BX_uw24gVY

One piece of advice I'd give someone growing up, is always go with what you wanna do in your spirit. If you hear something that connects with you on a mystical level. Go after it. Don't go after the practical. You can't change what the innermost part of your mind connects with. I never could and fought it my entire life.

I used to think Dead Poet's Society was childish and wrong. After thinking it was enlightening as a kid. It was never wrong. You just gotta fight for it. And never stop. Life is too long to settle for something you never wanted.

Medium muted synth violin. It's on a lower tone so it probably has a special name in the sound banks. It could be a synth clarinet too. It's hard to tell with synth.

"Omg look at his screensaver! It's doing all kinds of cool shit with a colored graph and it moves! Omg he's findin' lizard people with it!"

It would be cool, but I'm afraid in real life, the velocity of our lead rounds would just be too much for them. Nearly 3k feet per second on our rifles. 800 to 1500 on our pistols. And that was back in the early 1900s. And it wouldn't take but a single round to pierce one of their lungs or brachials... even through tough scale. Lead would shit all over it and the expansion would only damage them more once penetrated.

Humans really are big evil monsters with our tech even in ww1. You could've lined up a horde of a million or 2 jungle beast hordes and a 10th of our troops would annihilate them with few losses.

Definite a plot armor requirement.

I remember when it was first a thing and I got it, but in practice it just was too distracting and I'd turn it all off in favor of seeing just the screen and darkness around. And for some stupid reason, now I don't like it dark anymore. I like to have the windows open and moderately bright inside. I do like glowing red lights, but I was told to stop being a weirdo and so much for that. Now, I don't even get to go in my office. But nevermind that...

So, what about you guys? Lights? Yes no? Favorite color? I liked red or rainbow.

Depends on the size and brand. If it's the larger Crayola, I'll usually eat a box of 24. If it's the small ones, they taste more bitter so I'll just kinda snack on a few. Dipping them in paste helps a bit. If it's some off brand, they taste like chemicals and I can't stand them.

Probably the Cthulhu cult that makes bas relief of eldritch monstrosities. I always liked that and the art from Alien that H.R. Giger did. Especially the visuals in Prometheus. I'd like to hope a super advanced civilization that has basically transcended everything reverts back to pure art and biology; darkness and death.

Idk about anyone else but 30%-50% of my dreams are NSFW and/or fetish fuel so I would be uncomfortable discussing them in real life lol

I asked this in art history in a 2000ish night class about dreams because people were clamming up and the teacher took over and reinforced it to the class and all the silent people got vocal in agreement with each other.

The reason they weren't sharing is because they were ashamed of their dreams. Lots of people are afraid to be honest or even themselves in public because they've been taught to dodge ridicule or judgment in any form.

Personally, I never gave a shit. I was always averse to being apart of the hive because I saw how they acted and they were shitty people. I had a few other social groups at places other than school to show me that. Granted, college was a bit less toxic.

I love hearing about people's weird dreams. I wish people weren't such judgmental assholes such that all the good dreams are hidden behind fear. Ad for x-rated, it's mostly just rehashing average or failed encounters from youth and rewriting them.

Now, I get that in text like on GameFAQs it makes sense because the nature of the post isn't by default tied to performing for views or seeking attention. At least not in the normal honest sense. Not to mention you're hidden from view and mostly anonymous. However, I've been noticing on tiktok, ig reels, and yt shorts these videos where people premeditatedly film and curate themselves afterward.

I wanted to ask you guys because I'm beginning to think I'm out of touch lol. So like, is this normal and acceptable now? It just seems weird to film yourself in such a performative emotional state and pretend it's real then go all smiley in the comments. Back in the day, you used to ask for privacy and a few minutes to compose yourself.

I'm the kinda person that tries to be understanding and empathetic to everyone, but this stuff is kinda jarring to me. I hope I'm explaining this right. Anyone else have stuff like this to share? Thoughts? Personally, I would feel ashamed to cry, record myself crying and staring into a smartphone 1 foot from my face looking into a camera then send it out for millions of people to watch. Brave new world we're heading into.

I said something like because all the nights you've been eating good and living nice your whole life, others have been barely getting by. And sitting here eating well in a nice restaurant while they're out there in the cold just makes that painfully obvious.

Two years later the same teacher got fired for hitting a female student across the face and making her nose pour blood so bad she was taken to the hospital. All over the girl calling her a "fucking bitch" because she caught the girl parking in the teacher's lot.
