For example, as a teen I worked for both Circuit City and Best Buy and both had these silent rules about calling Best Buy "the blue guys" and scolding people who said the company name. Also, at Best Buy they just said, "The other guys" and scolded anyone for saying Circuit City. This was around the mid to late 90s. Even if the customer mentioned the name, you weren't supposed to say it. Anyways, I thought that shit was so dumb and didn't follow it. I remember getting shitty looks from the collectivist borg team members. I hate that kinda shit. Any of you guys have any work stories with similar stuff? The only time I really broke this rule was playing God of War 1 2 and 3. I played and platinum'd them. But I can't stand Kratos. I also didn't like Allegretto from Eternal Sonata or Noel Kriss from FF13-2. I played it at launch on PC and even with the quick load times, day 1 was glitchy as hell and I had to make sure to double save for corruption each dungeon. Mostly the Oblivion gates had some lighting bug in the lava or somewhere on certain cards that caused crashes. The same thing happened with post Doom 3 patches when flashes from. The shotgun, etc. In any case, the year delay was a big sad in the PS community. It was a thing back then. Granted, all my friends were Playstation fans. The only people that got 360s that I knew was my brother and sports/fps gamers. And yes, I had Morrowind for PC, but I had it on Xbox first. There are still people, and yes I'm not joking, on this site that claim they can't tell a difference between 30fps and 60fps as well as 1080p and 2160p. I'd seriously play single color shaded ps1 level polygon counts just to ensure the goddamn 60fps. It just feels like what should be baseline. There are people that hate the 60fps people too. And the following years debunked that with equivalent and superior cross-platform titles on PS3 But for anyone who remembers the PS3 vs 360 wars at the time, it's pointless to debate it. I kept doing new game plus over and over on Parasite Eve for a week without saving around 2000ish. I'd also watch Night of The Living Dead 1990 after each nightly run. Wtf kinda weirdo routine was that? DOAX on Xbox until I got everything. Minecraft goes without saying. Sometimes I just dig and collect metals for no reason. EverQuest 2 I did all the collection quests on my paladin. Anyone who knows knows that ridiculous. I played Bloodborne 200 hours after platinum just kept clearing hardest dungeons and collecting gems. I couldn't get enough of that damn game. Morrowind, literally did every single quest tailored to each faction so I had the most quests to do. I'd kill for a remaster on ps4 or 5. Honestly, I don't think they could handle it. The OG game and Tribunal alone would be quite an undertaking. Did thw same with Oblivion and Skyrim, but Skyrim at launch 100%. Never played expansions.
