Also having worked at an ISP (not ATT) I feel for the customers a lot of the time because it's extremely frustrating to deal with all the different hoops and bullshit which then falls into the laps of the people on the phones who's job is essentially to clean up the resultant mess.

Some people just want to talk and drink with others and pretend to feel wanted. I would say you still need to be somewhat extroverted to enjoy the atmosphere.

Yeah it's usually pretty good. Haven't had much of it but the few times I enjoyed it.

My last job didn't use Teams as the monitoring tool but they had a system set up with different phone codes to indicate what you were doing. You had to be on the phone at all times and if you were off for about 5 minutes they would alert you. It was too micromanaged and a stupid system. I'm glad I'm out of the call center environment though.

Had some good policies but the Japanese internment can't be overlooked.
