Maybe now but for the longest time it wasn't.

Ideally every student athlete would be paid but I'm not sure how feasible that is. At the very least students in minor sports should be allowed to get jobs in the off season. The integrity of college sports isn't being tarnished by a track and field athlete getting a part time job when they're not playing.

The pitch clock rule is long overdue as long as a violation results in a ball, not a balk.

An acquaintance I meant in college joined the air force after 9/11. He was in the process of getting his GI Bill by the time I was in college 5 years later.

In 8th grade science class talking about Monday Night Football and how the punter for the Giants only did good because of that sweet Denver altitude. I didn't find out about the attacks until the end of the day, the school put a gag order down but my social studies teacher figured that since the day was over she could spill the beans.

An in depth look at native cultures while certainly falling under the umbrella of social studies isn't exactly history. Teaching it in schools would be more than welcome by me but I'm not sure where it would fit in. At most you might learn a bit about the native peoples who inhabited your local area before colonization. Growing up in New York we learned about the Iroquois but not a lot about other tribes.
As for how our policies affected the natives when I was in school that happened when we learned about settling the west and Hawaii which was portrayed quite negatively.

Edit-I remember hearing about the Trail of Tears in 7th grade but not how it was discussed. In 11th grade our teacher was dead set on getting us to the Civil War by Thanksgiving so Jackson's administration was talked about for like a day in a round table discussion.

I love college basketball and world championships but I hate the NBA. Not because of the political activism accociated (pun partially intended) with the League that I support 100% or the close ties to rap and hip hop (have no clue if the league went that way intentionally.) No the reason I hate the NBA has to do with what The Grinch would call the noise noise noise! Watch an NBA game.and you will notice how the canned music and sound effects do not shut the fuck up ever. The defense chants are terrible enough but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Charge anthems, everybody clap your hands and the rest is just ugh.

I mean I don't like the sneaker squeaking that other levels of basketball have either but the NBA is one thing I'd enjoy far more if I were deaf.

The thrill of the strip is something I can't give up. Even ignoring the opening poll elaboration no deal.

Does unlimited budget include currently impossible technology to pull it off because if so...

My dream game would be a total immersion virtual reality (like The Matrix) shooter rpg that would have life point like the Saga games that primarially plays like an overhead run and gun called Omniraser. The goal would have you trying to stop the titular superweapon from firing at the end which naturally would result in a grandmasterpiece of color and an instant game over if it happened on the last level which of course would have a countdown timer to stop it from firing. Of course the final boss would have a last ditch effort suicide move to active the superweapon. The highest difficulty would have permadeath if you lost all your life points. If you beat it on that difficult you'd unlock a weapon like the one Travis from No More Heroes uses containing fluid similar to the one found in the Omniraser that could one shot anything in the game.

Other details include
-Made in Japan with an art style that's 3D anime
-in addition to multi-player modes of the usual sort people who completed the campaign would unlock a race to the Omniraser mode where you have to flee to the weapon and be the first to fire it
-Like jrpgs the visual effects over the course of the game would be more impressive as the game went on. There would be minimal if any use of the realistic white hot effect that a lot of games have. Later on the bosses would have full-screen attacks.
-Finally the weapons would take inspiration from Ratchet & Clank

Edit-I also think that once the tech comes along it'll be on supercomputers in arcades (if they are even called that) permanently due to safety concerns and the big releases will come out on Christmas Day.
