The final main event of the regular season pits the powerful spinners of Fusion and Icewave against each other as both of these 1-1 bots fight for their tournament lives. Also tonight, Glitch looks to keep up the momentum after its shocking upset over Hydra a few weeks ago, Switchback tries to chop down HUGE, and lovable memebot Rusty returns to action. At the end of the episode, the bracket for the 32-team BattleBots championship tournament will be revealed. As usual, please put any discussion of match results under spoiler tags until 24 hours after the episode airs out of consideration for people who can't watch the episode live, especially if you decide to watch the episode early on Discovery+ before it airs on TV. For this week, this includes the reveal of the tournament bracket and any discussion about the seedings and matchups.

Showtime is in about an hour.

I would gladly pay real money to see Lava Golem give me a big red melting thumbs up whenever I tribute my opponent's monsters for him or a Kaiju.

I've actually almost finished that Dragonmaid Eldlich deck I'm working on. I have the Dragonmaid cards I need, now I just need a little bit more UR dust for a copy of Eldlich The Mad Golden Lord (which I surprisingly didn't pull while originally building my Eldlich deck) for the extra deck.

I joined the dark side with a pure eldlich deck on my ipad account. Turns out as soon as you flip any of the eldland/lixir spells 90%of people just scoop. I can see why so many people play it.

It's a shame that an archetype with such badass lore and designs has such a toxic floodgate-abusing playstyle that people hate playing against, especially in a BO1 format where you can't side deck for it. But you just gotta adjust. Run more backrow removal. Run ways to banish Gold Daddy. There's plenty of ways around it. For example, I run Heavy Storm Duster in my Sky Striker deck specifically so this shit...

Yeah, this event (and Tenkafuma in general) has some hilarious dialogue options. There was one about finding a swordswoman training in the woods, and the two options were basically "watch her train, I can learn new fighting techniques" and "watch her train, her muscles are getting me hot and bothered".

Tenkafuma added a catgirl Vtuber character to the game, and her event in the game is basically her streaming herself adventuring around the kingdom (and trying to defeat Ceasar, AKA you the player) to the real world like a VR game. On top of that, it turns out she's an actual Vtuber in real life too, and she streamed herself playing her own in-game event. So to sum it all up, she streamed herself playing a game that featured an event where her in-game character streamed herself playing a game... my brain hurts. Whatever. What's more important is that this catgirl is very cute, has huge tits, and doesn't wear pants.

Ah, nerts. Because I've been playing True Draco, and while it is nice to win because people go "nope, fuck this shit" when they see the lack of an Extra Deck, most of my losses have been due to... well, being a deck with 8 monsters. So throwing in Eldlich seemed like a good idea, but if it's not that consistent, I may just put it up until I can get a set of Card of Demise, just to save my sanity.

Summon him under Skill Drain or Monarchs Erupt so he doesn't return to your hand that turn, then remove SD/ME from the field and his effect will basically act like a super version of SD/ME that prevents the opponent from using monster effects from the hand and graveyard too. Once I added him to my True Draco deck, I started winning a lot more. And yeah, Card Of Demise will be a big help once you get a set too.

Plus, I only built my True Draco Eldlich deck because I already had an Eldlich deck built and the True Draco cards are really cheap. Going the other way and spending gems and UR materials on 3 gold daddies just to throw them into a True Draco deck isn't really worth it unless you intend to build a full Eldlich deck too.

In master duel I really don't encounter a lot of back row removal

So yeah, I've been seeing a lot more backrow removal in the past couple of weeks compared to earlier on in the game's life. Harpie's Feather Duster, Lightning Storm, Twin Twisters, Evenly Matched, budget options like Mystical Space Typhoon and Paleozoic Dinomischus, you name it. Some decks don't have room to add it (and some people are too stubborn to adjust) but backrow removal feels a lot more common to me.

Gravekeeper's servant + Dimensional Fissure or Macro Cosmos. Both completely prevent your opponent from attacking.

That combo has been around for 15 years and it's still hilarious when it works, but decks usually have enough backrow removal to deal with it. Plus, both D-Fissure and Cosmos are limited to 1 in the TCG (but they're at 3 in the OCG and Master Duel!) so that also made it less common.

Yeah, I'm having a similar issue with my deck, except I'm missing Interrupted Kaiju Slumber and don't have the dust for them.

I use Kaijus in so many decks that I have a full set of Slumber on both of my accounts lol

I'd also be using Maxx "C", but frankly, the Droll & Lock Birds have helped more when it comes to shutting down certain draw-heavy decks... and I only have one. Similarly, my Extra Deck needs work, but that's honestly the problem for most of my decks so I'm not as chuffed in that regard.

Yeah, Droll & Lock Bird sounds like a fun idea. I just think Maxx C is more useful more often.

Another thing to consider: you run Dimensional Fissure in your deck, but you actually can't use Maxx C or Droll & Lock Bird if D-Fissure (or Macro Cosmos) is up because they specifically say "send to the graveyard" for their cost, which you can't do. There are a few hand traps like Ash Blossom and Swift Scarecrow that just say "discard" and don't specify that they need to go to the graveyard, so you can use them while D-Fissure is up, but most hand traps can't be used. So if I were going to make a Yosenju build with D-Fissure and/or Macro Cosmos, I probably wouldn't run any of the hand traps that can't be used while they're active.

I'm running six Kaijus and Interrupted Kaiju Slumber for even more removal, plus Genex Ally Birdman as a useful tuner that lets me Synchro summon, re-use Kaijus that get put on my field with Slumber, and other stuff. Birdman + a Kaiju can make for an unexpectedly scary Synchro monster out of nowhere. There are a few more cards that I wanted to use (Called By The Grave, Alpha the Master Of Beasts, some better Level 7 Synchro and Rank 4 Xyz monsters) but I don't have them or the gems/dust to get them right now.

42 episodes into Happiness Charge Precure and I still can't get over Dio being a Precure villain. Same voice actor, same over-the-top personality, same ego, all of it. No matter how I look at it, Oresky is basically Dio transplanted into a Precure series and I can't help but enjoy how ridiculous it is.

I dunno, I personally love seeing my opponents activate a Maxx "C" into one of my Yosenju minions. I mean, I get the reasoning, but it's still amusing in the best ways. It also makes up for all the times I accidentally forget one of my own card effects, and end up fucking myself over.

My favorite is watching people Ash my Danger cards not realizing I can just immediately activate them again because they're not once per turn.

Congrats on the Ultra Athletes. Im happy they worked out for you. They seem even stronger now than when I last played them with some new support!

Yeah, they're wild. They have plenty of searches (so one getting Ash'd usually doesn't kill my turn) and a lot of swarming potential for OTK's when I go second, but they're not totally useless going first either because of Libero Spiker and Midfielder letting me summon on the opponent's turn. I've made people ragequit by summoning Player Manager during their turn and using its "negate the effects of all face-up monsters on the field except U.A. monsters until the end of this turn" effect in the middle of their combo.

A pair of questions for all of you guys: how many decks do you have completed and ready to duel with so far, and which one would you say is your favorite one to play? Across both of my accounts, I have 10 decks done and usable right now...

This post made me want to make a Dragonmaid/Eldlich deck, or at least one that uses Laundry to help mill stuff into the grave. I love the headcanon that Laundry got fired from the Dragonmaid staff for being so useless (most actual Dragonmaid decks don't run her) but then got hired by gold daddy Eldlich.

I managed to clear this Tower Of Luna section within the first two days, the first time I've ever managed to pull that off. Muimi has been a huge step up for me in terms of how much damage my teams are putting out.

i really like Blip. i haven't looked in to how its systems work, but in design and performance, it is very reminiscent of Apollo from Robot Wars, which is my whole family's favorite bot from Robot Wars. my dad said going into this season that he would love to see Apollo compete on Battlebots. Blip might be the closest that will get to happen. just a shame there are no 500 pound house robots for it to flip over lol.

I think you should drop one Effect Veiler for Nibiru or Gameciel. Nib can ruin lots of decks, Salamangreat specially while Gameciel can check Herald of Ultimateness and or any other stupid boss monster.

I wanted to add a Nibiru from the beginning, but I wasn't sure what to take out for it.

Two Multiroles are fine

The reason I was considering three Multirole is because one of the main combos in the deck is Multirole plus Imperial Iron Wall. If I have both out, then Multirole can continuously recycle the Sky Striker spells and they'll never be banished thanks to IIW, plus IIW can disrupt some decks like Virtual World that do a lot of banishing. I didn't see it in many of the Sky Striker deck recipes I saw online, but it was something I thought would be cool and I wanted to try it. If it doesn't work well enough, then I'll probably remove IIW for a couple of Gamaciels or Lava Golems.

The first 4 duels with my new Sky Striker deck resulted in 1 loss (got stomped by Salamangreats) and then 3 consecutive wins... granted, I'm only in Silver2 on this account right now. One of those wins was actually clinched with a Limiter-Removal-boosted Hayate direct attack, so that was fun.

Limiter Removal is an interesting finisher. The most common one is to normal summon one of your hand traps, if any, summon Halqifibrax, summon effect veiler, link into Selene (some Magistus Link-3), use Selene's effect to revive Veiler, summon Accesscode Talker for 5300 and board clear.

I have that Halq-Selene-Access link climb in my extra deck too. I just haven't had the chance to use it yet. I never drew Ash or Veiler in the win I mentioned above, and my other two wins ended with quick surrenders due to Kaiser Colosseum fucking the opponent over.

I managed to get my Sky Striker deck built! I went through all of my cards on my main account and dismantled any SR's/UR's that I wasn't using (including some for decks I previously wanted to build but were incomplete, RIP Lightsworn and Danger Dark World decks) and ended up with like 180 UR dust. After completing my daily challenges, I had enough gems to make three 10-pulls in the Sky Strikers secret pack, and I lucked out and somehow pulled Kagari and both copies of Engage within those packs. Then, after dismantling more stuff, I was able to craft the remaining UR/SR cards that I needed.

The single copy of Limiter Removal was a last-minute addition because I randomly pulled it from one of those packs. All of the extra deck Sky Striker monsters are Machine-type, and after using Limiter Removal for a temporary power boost, I can just swap to another one to avoid the negative side effect. I didn't see any other Sky Striker deck recipes using Limiter Removal when I was researching the deck, but I figured I'd give it a try just for kicks. If it doesn't do much, I'll replace it with Nibiru or a third copy of Multirole.

I want to make Sky Strikers next. Raye looks cute and I'm Nanoha & Megaman X fanboy so her armors certainly hits the good spot.

The Lyrical Nanoha connection is a big part of why I want to build Sky Strikers too. The lore (as seen on the various spell cards in the archetype) even seems to indicate that Raye "befriended" Roze with superior firepower, similar to what Nanoha did with Fate.

On another note, if you haven't yet, watch Symphogear. It's another "cute mecha action girls" series that was heavily inspired by Lyrical Nanoha.

Fantastic main event! I do agree with the judge's decision that Yeti won, but that was a super close fight. I really want to see the scorecards, because I bet it was 6-5, 5-6, 6-5. Plus, I definitely still think a 1-2 Skorpios makes the tournament.
