Sometimes you'd get invited to eat with them, but not always.

the ukraine song slaps but I do think they won due to sympathy votes. it's hard to say, I'd call it top 3 but not sure if it was *the* best song.
surprised that UK came second, the song was okay but I wasn't that big a fan. could they have won if not for the war?
and I amazed that sweden, belgium, australia, portugal, france and a few others got anything above 0 points. some really lame low effort songs

brooo Portugal was dope and their singer is a smoke show.

Another thing Ive heard people mention is how the trailers may have hurt the movie a bit because people went in expecting it to be a slightly different type of movie. In that (mild spoilers) they thought there would be different universes all over the place and a hundred different cameos.

I don't understand this at all. If the agency the family worked with was able to find the girl so quickly, there must be known places where human traffickers post "ads". Since all forms of prostitution are illegal, it wouldn't matter if they were explicitly advertising her criminally low age---it's illegal no matter how old she is. So, why doesn't the DHS or the FBI routinely buzz through these places and hunt down everyone involved? Is it too much work? Did the family just get lucky and it's usually not that easy?

Police routinely arrest consenting, legal-aged sex workers for "trafficking" themselves. Is it really too much to ask that they nab the low hanging fruit and do something socially useful with their time?

plus couldnt they use the cameras at the stadium to see who she left with? A lot of interesting missing details.

Except The Wire.

There's a scene in The Wire where a suspect smacks the hotheaded cop and he starts beating the shit out of the suspect. The calm, respectable lady cop runs over and pulls him off of the guy...and then she starts beating the shit out of him too. Just to give you an idea of what it's like.

its also just very good at showing where the system breaks down because of where the incentives are.
