I've used the up special to save myself from dying off the bottom a few times because you fly to your ally. That's about the only use I've found for it.

I guess you could jump on someone's back when you're about to die and they have a new life? Because Gizmo takes damage but I think the knockback is based on the person you're tethered to.

Yeah that's what I'm using but the popcorn arrow is so hard to hit. And up special isn't killing at over 150%.

Gizmo is fun so far but I'm having so much trouble getting any kills. I'm doing 350+ damage and 0 kills in duos.

Just played a set against Nakat and Void. They were using side characters so it was actually pretty close! If I had a different partner we might have won.

I popped into Nakats stream afterward and he said I did a good job

The funny thing is that since they turned all of the fetch quests into collect cards this game has way less side quests than XB1 or XB2

That's what I was doing too but I didn't go full movie heroes. Maybe I need to bring 2 STR Piccolo and try 100% movie heroes.

Red Zone is stupid too. Difficult content is awful in Dokkan but we've already been over this a bunch so whatever.

Why do the LR gods take 300k from normal attacks from Cell Max when they have 400k defense built up. Then they double super and STILL TAKE 200k DAMAGE.

Why do I keep convincing myself to try to fight Cell Max?!

For science you could also try throwing your metal item on the ground and trying to lure it on top during a thunderstorm. I feel like weird stuff like that works more often than not in BOTW.

I did another rotation on the teal banner because I'm a weak person but I managed to get the new Goku and 4 other LRs so can't complain!

Say what you will about how bad that banner is, getting 5 LRs for 150 stones was nice.

Also when I sit down and think about the plot I really don't think I have a firm grasp on a lot of stuff.

So... (whole plot outline as I understand it)

The two universes from XB1 and XB2 started to merge back together which was bad because... reasons? It was going to destory both universes or something? So Nia and Melia work together from their univeres to make Origin which will reboot the universe after it explodes when they fuse together. But Zed is created from the general population's collective will not wanting to die and wanting to freeze time. So he creates a universe where people never really die using Origin.

Noah and crew beat him and restore Origin to it's original function of rebooting the universe. But then in the ending the two universes split up again and start going their separate ways? And then little kid Noah who saw time stop in the very beginning is now able to move on and it's implied that Mio is in this universe now too. So did the universes merge successfully without causing damage or something?

I don't really understand how we got to the universes splitting up or how we got back to little kid Noah at the very end.

I did pretty much all of the side quests for the characters I cared about and they weren't exactly blowing me away.

This game has like 2 themes and they beat you over the head with them for 80 hours. And the side quests are no exception to that.

I mean they weren't bad but I think the blade quests in XB2 had way more variety and opportunity for fun little side stories.

Getting really sick of spending every game chasing Bugs, or chasing Velma, or chasing Batman, or chasing Tom & Jerry, or chasing Harley Quinn.

Then when I try to approach they dodge backwards and hit with me a with projectile. I'm starting to think that maybe I don't actually like this game on a fundamental level.

NASB had the same issue that every character is way too mobile. Unlimited dashing that can be used as an offensive tool and defensive tool is NOT a good idea for this genre.

I have 80 hours in this game so maybe I just need to take a break until they fix the hitboxes or something.

And Tony confirmed on Twitter that Gizmo and Stripe are 2 different characters so that's cool.

Or if you like puzzle games then Baba is You would be pretty perfect for short bursts and holding your attention for a while.

Monster Train will hold your attention for a little bit if you liked Slay the Spire but it might be too similar to be interesting.

Yeah actually I'm sure we'll get about 300 stones with new events, Gohan, and EZAs which will let me do a few rotations on the new banner at least. I forgot about the Gohan event giving so many stones.

I just need a way to get more stones before this 2nd banner drops because I went too hard on the first one. But I have a feeling we aren't going to get very many for part 2.

Time for Super EZAs. Red zone level difficulty to add 10 more levels and get them up to 150 instead of 140, SA25 and new passive/leader skills.

Yeah but now one of the hidden LRs is a DFE instead of yellow coin. And the discounts end on these banners before part 2 so you can't decide if you should blow all of your stones on Cooler with the discount or wait to use them on the part 2 LR.

I think a lot of F2P players avoid yellow coin banners anyway so this is just annoying to split the red coin banners for them.

Things that are really starting to bug me with this game:

I can't play anyone other than Superman because trying to play my level 4 Morty means I'm still going to get paired against level 30 enemies who are going to demolish me. I get that my MMR is high enough that I should be playing against these players but how am I ever supposed to learn new characters?

I'm also getting a little sick of running into duos who are partied up. I'm relying on random partners with random skill levels and no coordination while people who are partied up are just shredding duos for free. Give me a solo queue duos or something so I don't have to play against people who are teamed.

Maybe ranked fixes these problems and unranked pairs you just based on the character level you're playing instead of MMR but IDK. I don't need to win every game to have a good time but some games are just unbearable. And I want to play other characters without going against people who have 1000 wins on their character!

That teal banner is quite the joke. I normally pull on yellow banners and I can't even be bothered to pull on that one with a discount!

The Cooler banner actually has a lot of cards I don't have so I dropped 600 stones and got a good amount of those cards! Got pretty much everything except the new Cooler and AGL Gohan.

If the rumors are true and Goku is a blue coin banner with double rates then he's probably going to be the most broken card in the game right?

I can't see people pulling on his banner over Cooler otherwise

I just played against a 1500 wins Steven in duos and holy shit. You guys better hope nobody starts playing Steven because he's insane in duos. He kept shielding his opponent literally every time I went to hit them. And he had my partner bubbled constantly and killed off the top super easy.

I still think Cell Max is going to be like the original Broly where something about Beast Gohan makes him weaker but yeah Red Zone and CM are both bullshit.

I keep talking myself into trying more Red Zone attempts and I don't understand how anyone could find it enjoyable. Take 0 damage from normal attacks and take 400k damage from super attacks in the same turn.

I have a loan from a coding bootcamp I took in 2017 that I'm about to start paying off so I really hope it qualifies. I don't know if it's considered a student loan or just a regular loan but it was used for education so IDK.

Just played against Mango in duos. We lost the first game and my partner left the game. Got paired up against him again with the same partner and we won the 2nd time. Then my partner left AGAIN. Like bro at least let me finish the set against Mango damn.

Honestly Mango is not very good but he's partnerning with a really good Shaggy.

Yeah I'm starting to feel that way too. They really just need to disable the ability to activate the invincibility while you're in hitstun. That fixes the whole problem.

Sure it makes him unplayable trash too but big heavy characters always have that problem in these games.

Rick and Morty don't have any unique voice lines, they're all ripped from the show. Maybe coming later because Justin Roiland is too busy making that cringe talking gun game (and a million other things).

Whenever I use bonus EXP on an underleveled hero they end up being a few levels higher than my current team. So maybe their bonus EXP scales differently or something.

The time limit one is pretty easy to do with bots too if you just want to get it done with in a few minutes.

I'm also reading but nothing really to add since it's been a long time since I played. I'll say that one of the things I enjoyed that I don't see mentioned often is the weird undertones between Mikleo and Sorey (are you calling him Sorry on purpose?).

Mikleo is a (slightly) more interesting character if you're looking at him through the lens that he's got some feelings for Sorey. I'm not even LGBT, just an angle you don't see very often in JRPGs unless it's a joke.

And yeah they're treated like brothers too but there's a few scenes that sure feel like something else is going on there. Maybe you disagree but I'm interested what people think about that.

Someone online suggested to just play FFA but that didn't seem to work very well for me either. It's been a struggle for me too to get assists.

I'm sure you can set up some cool grenade traps but Morty already feels like he's going to need to work 3 times harder than any other character to get damage and kills.

Wow Morty SUCKS. Feels like he does absolutely nothing despite having a lot of tools.

Finally finished the All Star event. Friend system needs to change. It gets super annoying later on.

I haven't even tried the Cell Max event. I just know I'm going to get bodied.

The first 2 phases of Cell are pretty easy and you get 5 stones per phase. So you can get 10 out of 15 stones at least.

I haven't finished yet. Debating how many ascension quests I want to bother with since I know I'm probably not going to be doing any post game stuff.

It seems like they're trying to give LR SSJ Goku a card of every type so I doubt they double down on AGL already.

I never pulled Goku or Freiza from last year so I don't mind as much. But it is pretty stupid to have LR SSJ Goku for two years in a row.

I reinstalled today and won my 3rd game. I don't think the entire lobby was bots but some people were definitely bots.

I don't think I ever won a solo game back when I played the build version so this is already an improvement.

I think I played during the original 3rd season because I have some emotes from then.
