Ive enjoyed the D+ stuff, but they have kind of felt like a movie and a half cut up into six pieces of something rather than a properly episodic thing. hoping we get more stuff like this going forward. Daredevils episode count seems like a good sign. that said, I wouldnt mind if the episodes were a little longer so they could give some more time to the supporting cast. For a few years of core sets theyd have exactly one returning non evergreen mechanic. this is more than that, but the mechanics are all pretty simple and mostly stuff weve seen before. like Enlist is legally a new thing, but its along the same lines as a bunch of older mechanics. Random Q that popped into my head during this episode: at one point a reporter confronts She-Hulk and suggests that the Avengers turned her down. i dont know how much anyone in the public actually knows what the avengers consist of or who is on the team like, based on Shang-Chi, I assume that at least Wong, Bruce, and Carol are Avengers at this point, but the general public doesnt seem to have much concept of who Wong is so i would guess they also dont know what any individual hero is up to at any moment. people may not realize Thor isnt around or that Hawkeye retired but yeah, the status of the Avengers is a weird mystery in the MCU at this point. I really hope theres an opportunity to establish whats up with them sometime before the actual Avengers movie comes out since thats still so far off. --- For your Azuarc . I got two of the 2 drops that do life loss based on how many defenders you have, and doing four or five unblockable damage per turn is pretty good if you can make it happen. --- For your Azuarc . I think the expectation is that a normal deck should be able to consistently hit 3 for domain effects but yeah, no wilds or common artifact land searcher thing is an interesting choice it looked to me like a bunch of the common/uncommon kicker stuff could be pretty strong. my instinct right now is its probably at least a higher power level than Dominaria was, but I dunno. The mission design maybe feels outdated, the shooting isnt good, the characters arent interesting...
