Petite is Lucy who's next to david in the yellow jacket. Rebecca is small and childlike throughout the show.

With the cyberpunk anime coming it seems to be bringing in a lot of nonanime watchers to the show.

This is just from my experience on reddit mind you, but its causing a lot of fights.

So there's a character named Rebecca who is essentially a small adult who looks like a small girl. Her first appearance in the show is her groping a mans junk and its implied she gives him a good old-fashioned for a brief time.

Later she appears in just her underwear. A lot of people watching the anime who arent normal users are commenting how its creepy for a kid to be doing that stuff and the anime fans are getting very defensive over how its normal for anime and how its their faults for thinking like that.

I'm not a big anime watcher, but i did think it was weird that the character was like shown to be seen as childlike in the show since they have a scene where she cant get into a bar.

American Dad is the best of the bunch.

Also, Steve doesnt control the Wakandan army. T'Challa does and it would have been his fault that they were fighting for vision. He wasnt an avenger and could have told them to fuck off when they showed up there.

When almost every male rapper has been rapping about murdering people, raping women, and robbing people. A lot of them actually have convictions for those things too.

I did. Almost every video game I played growing up was a white dude in his 30-40s.

I had no representation unless it was a black side kick and that was barely a thing.

To this day I still get no representation in character creators but there are 30 versions of an undercut but 2 black haircuts. Afro and Regular corn rows.

Many writers and directors openly say that it was the lack of something that encouraged them to pursue what they did in film.

Note that I'm not referring to characters like John Stewart (the best Green Lantern) or various versions of Spider-man because they are different characters with the same title.

I'm going to use an example of Captain America. Having Sam be captain america isnt replacing a white captain america and we dont need a new captain america.

It's a title and it shows that ANY person can be captain america. Like spiderman, like the little mermaid, like the flash, like any other super hero.

It shows that any person of any race can be that character. The reason that movies like Encanto, Raya, Shang Chi, Black Panther, Little Mermaid matter is because it shows young kids that you're equal. Maybe in the real world there's still racism but letting the kids dream bigger and forget about that stuff helps in the long run. It's why there's so much more tolerance in the world today.

Maybe its not 100% gone but every little step in the right direction helps.

Representation matters whether it's an original story or remade classic. Black people don't need to create their own of something for it to be valid to black people.

Also, black people have a ton of stories that we create and we dont need to be confined to those. Like shit, Tyler Perry has been creating black stories for decades but when shit like this comes out the racists always say "why cant they create their own". WE HAVE BEEN.

Yeah, I've read that using anime to try to learn Japanese (like some weebs try to do) is actually one of the worst things you could do in regards to learning the language. It's recommended to watch live action films and dramas instead.

I never noticed it till I got high and watched Log Horizon season 1 to 3 dubbed. It bothered me a lot lol.. When im sober it doesn't bother me tho

I've always noticed it but I don't watch a lot of anime. I've seen the big names but i was watching severance and my friend told me to check out the new Cyberpunk anime because he liked it and he only watches anime.

Its ok so far but the dialogue is so anime and it ruins it for me.

Character 1: says something

Character 2: responds in non expected way, with relatively non shocking information

Character 1: HUH?!!?!?! WHAT??!?!?!

its so clunky and unnatural. It always pulls me out of whatever show im watching.

i remember there was a topic about a woman that was raped or sexualized inappropriately and something happened to her and he came in and said "Nice Rack"

I remember calling him out for it and he pretty much was like "LOL IM JUST A HORNY DUDE" not in those words though but that was the gist of the post.

oh shit my bad. He was like 26ish when he had his first kid. he's 31 now with a second on the way.

My friend had his daughter a few years ago. He works an ok paying job and im not sure what his girlfriend does. When he was telling me he wanted a kid i tried to tell him to wait but i was happy for him when he had her.

But like since then he works the same job sold his nice car for a beater and then moved back in with his parents.

I know statistically it says people are waiting to have kids but not my dumb friends.
