No, it tells me that was the only choice the developers were given. They had to work within a 2020 release deadline, so they cut a chunk of the story out to cut corners. To normal people that's the definition of unfinished, my guy.

At best that's like half true. Some people went with the assumption that he would die early (which to be fair, did happen to be correct), but many others speculated you could either save him or that was just a "bad ending" from choices during an edgerunner job gone wrong.

also, the subreddit confirmed it with each trailer that was released. They noticed he wasnt around in gameplay previews and other stuff coming out. Most people knew jackie was dying early.

V getting to know Jackie and doing gigs with him could've made 1/3rds of the story, instead we got a brief recap before the final episode. Stylistic decision my ass. unfortunately, there are people who think if things arent realistic, they look old.

There are people who cant look at 2D because it is too outdated.

To be fair. Even certain artistic choices can get tiring to look out.

There's a trend in horror games recently to use that 80s VHS look and its gets tiring to look at quick and that kills the game for me.

I don't think there's a problem with pushing for great graphics i think the problem with gaming right now is that there's no chances for risks. Games are all too samey and that's why games like Elden Ring are refreshing. I dont think Elden Ring broke the mold or anything but it took a niche formula like the souls series and made it more appealing by making it open world. They even did some QOL updates to appeal to more casual players and not alienate their base.

The reason you hate games with good graphics is that its usually accompanied by mediocre gameplay because its nonthreatening to the average player.
