I could copy that. mine's bipolar and stabilized once he was on meds, but was still prone to paranoia and unhinged outbursts, which I became complete numb to because they just became mundane to me. Not long before the incident, he went off his meds. He had still been an asshole. He never stopped being an asshole, but I was never the target of it. I was sort of the one voice of reason for him. He went off on me about nothing and I snapped and went over the top on him, like enough to shatter his reality. He was sulky and deflated for the rest of that visit. I saw him once after that, but I was extremely uncomfortable and had to reach just to find topics of conversation. I was on edge and just waiting for him to have some public meltdown about some insignificant thing, like a waitstaff person asking him some normal, innocent question. He was prone to being set off by completely normal and commonplace stuff in everyday human interaction. My brother refused to even go with us because he was already done with him. Afterward, I realized that I had only really kept him in my life as an adult because I felt guilty about the idea of not doing that. I just sort of absolved myself of that and walked away. Have not once regretted it and I doubt I ever will. His father died when he was away at college and the last interaction they had was a massive fight. He's felt guilty as fuck about that and everything he didn't get to say. I won't have to bear that though. What I would or wouldn't want to say to him is irrelevant and pointless anyway because he is not a person who is capable of listening. He would just twist my words anyway. He left my mother twice actually. Once when I was like 4 and once when I was a teenager. He came back the first time. I remember it clearly. I was in my "fort" under the dining room table with the long tablecloth. My mother was crying and I could tell it was happy crying. She said that my father was coming home. My mental reaction was basically just "okay..." He hadn't even been horrible to me at that point that I know of since I was still so young. but I must have known something was fucking off with him. I don't wish any harm on him either, but I do still have dreams about him at times. It's about 50/50 whether I physically attack him in them or not. --- Always check timestamps... |

On my driveway, I discovered a literal shit-zone from a large caterpillar. It would be either a Luna, Polyphemus or Cecropia moth (all 3 are native here and are the big ones in this area and all are known to feed on Birch). There is a birch tree in the neighbors' yard that is right next to the fence bordering my yard, so a lot of branches hang over. This confirms at least one large caterpillar that I could potentially find and raise, which is something I fucking love to do. The only problem though... is that the shit-zone is in a specific location on the driveway where the lowest overhanding branches are like 20-30 feet up, so either I am shit out of luck, the caterpillar will have to go to lower branches for me to get to it, which would be all coincidental and luck-based... or I would have to ask my landlord if he has a ladder that goes that high and if I could borrow it and he could steady it for me as I go up... which would be a pretty fucking awkward conversation at least at first, like "hey man you got a ladder that goes up 20-30 and if so could you help me get up into this tree even though it's in the neighbors' yard? I'm a caterpillar enthusiast and there's a big one up there, which I know because all these little things here littering our driveway are caterpillar shit-turds so it's somewhere directly above us right now..." --- Always check timestamps... |

It just scales down weapon appearances to make them look realistic. Swords look thinner and axes and maces look like things you could effectively wield irl. It even makes the molag bal mace not look asinine. I second alternative start. You can choose various options for how to begin, and it works with Anniversary Edition (even gives you the option to already own a house exclusive to that edition) --- Always check timestamps... |

That was the plan, so that's what I did when he called back. I sold it well and I was going to just leave it at that, but then he fucked up and told me "make sure to have that <c word> deliver to me so I can punch her in the face." That set me off, not only just for what he said at face value, but that manager was also a friend of mine and she was one who initially hired me and had always had my back. For some reason we had a bullhorn there and it happened to be under the counter within reach. I just grabbed it, held it up to the phone and screamed "FUCK YOU!" as loud as I could, then slammed down the phone (there were no customers in store). He did not call back again. Manager ask what happened and I was like "he called you a <c word> again and told me he wanted to punch you in the face." We laughed about it. --- Always check timestamps... |
