I really don't want to have to get a PS5 but I haven't seen anything about Demon's Souls or Returnal PC releases and those are the only two games I want to play.

You have to understand that once the chip shortage resolves itself then more consumers will be willing to buy things. Even I'm at a point now where I'm willing to buy new hardware if that hardware makes it easier to play certain games (Those Square Enix titles you mentioned).

You know how you can buy eShop or PSN or even Xbox cards through Amazon (or even god forbid physical titles / digital codes)? you can't do that with EGS and you can barely do that for Steam titles anymore (at least you can buy physical steam cards in physical stores).

The only problem that consoles have is that if you want to stream or record gameplay you need to buy a physical capture device which costs $150-$200 at the minimum, not including other things like HDMI duplicators.

Yea you gotta allocate time to watch all of that anime.
10 different shows means 5 hours a week.

If anything, I have a "loose list of games I want to play that aren't out yet".
2022 has been an exception because I have to buy around $300 worth of Atelier games but you do not binge a SoL JRPG series.

Remember that nothing square enix does that's advertised as a "remake" is a remake by the western definition.

Seeing as I'm actively playing it, no it's not forgotten. I played it last night.

So I caught up on Takagi-san 3 and it's going to be hard to choose between Takagi-san and Bisque Doll as anime of the season for me. Bisque Doll S2 (if it happens) has a good chance of being better than S1, and Takagi-san 3 is just everything you'd expect and Rie Takahashi really nails Takagi. Depends on where the season ends, as we know we'll be getting a Takagi-san film later this year:

Square is a company that went defunct in 2003.
Nobody knows what Final Fantasy is supposed to be.

The anime has good production quality and Kitagawa also has a the same speaking style in the subtitles as she does in the manga.
Next episode of the anime will be the Love Hotel and my guess is that it will get a second season once some more chapters are written.

After watching episode 8 of Takagi-san S3, yea this show totally takes place in the mid to late 2000s. The only thing that stands out is their use of smartphones, which could be reasoned away in saying that it takes place in 2007-2009 as the phones are probably modeled after the first generation iPhone.

That's the one I played a little of.
Basically, a game needs to hook me within the first hour / level / ect. and that one did not.

Depends on what you call fanservice.
So for example, in the Dusk trilogy, characters from Ayesha appear in both Escha & Logy and Shallie as all 3 games exist in the same universe.
This is a common trends in the other series.
If you mean characters in game sexualizing Ryza (or the other girls, given the example on that page). No that does not happen in the games I've played so far.
There is 1 bathing suit scene in Shallie where all of the girls of that game are wearing bathing suits.

I've only played the older ones, people usually suggest starting with Ryza or Sophie but I haven't played those yet. The two that I'd suggest (Rorona / Ayesha) are both outdated as each game's systems get incrementally more tuned.
I need to play more games to answer that.

People probably not reading the anime thread where I post most of the things I like so, for the record over the past 2 months I have been playing some of the older Atelier games. So far I have played Ayesha, Escha and Logy, Shallie, and I'm now starting Rorona. All of them are very fun.

I played Master Quest two times over the years, and never once did I get past the overworld.
It's just a very dated game and as a person who has never enjoyed a single game in the entire action/adventure genre, why would I?

Every game sucks according to helly.
