The regenerating flasks encourage you to fight all the groups of enemies you encounter as you explore. If you had to go back to a site of grace every time you accidentally miss a dodge roll and use more flasks than you planned, it would be sooo annoying. You can also run passed pretty much all the enemies in the open world too, which thank god makes the run backs after a death in the open world a lot less painful. If the flasks didn't regenerate, the open world would just turn into one giant stealth mission, as you walk around trying to not aggro and evaluating if this camp is really worth attacking or not. That would have sucked. Honestly it is a great piece of game design, passively encouraging players to go out and explore and engage in the open world without forcing them. Yeah you can run passed all the enemies, but most players don't because the combat is fun, secrets are everywhere, and you don't have to worry that much about resource management. --- Hello world! |

There really is no benefit to intermittent fasting or OMAD besides it being a schedule/tool to help people stick to their diets. The dumbest thing about this last minute development is that there is no way to explain why he's been allowed to just exist all this time. Even if Garp had been obscuring details on Luffy so they had no idea of his fruit, he displayed it openly during Ace's execution. After that, there should have been a Buster Call made on every island on which he set foot until they captured him. Yeah I am curious about this as well, hopefully we get an explanation. Maybe they thought Luffy had a different fruit which gave him stretch powers? Or maybe a lot of people in the past have eaten the fruit and just never awakened it over the last 800 years, so they weren't worried about it? I am guessing Luffy is the pirate that Shanks went and talked to the Gorosei about too, maybe he told them "Hey there is a good chance Luffy awakens this devil fruit" which is why now is when they finally dispatched CP0 to take him out? --- Hello world! |
