Yeah, it's a great show. I didn't discover it until I watched Monk and needed something more to satisfy my craving for mystery. Which is another show you should check out if you enjoy Columbo. I think it takes a lot of inspiration from it (it's also one of my favorite shows of all time).

Murder is the unlawful killing of another human. This means the law recognizes a fetus as a living person. Whether or not the woman intends to keep it or not shouldn't determine its status as a living thing. So the only argument you can make is that women have the right to murder their own children.

So how come murdering a pregnant woman results in two accounts of murder?

I'd be open to it in the future, but not yet. The technology is too new, and there are undoubtedly many bugs that have to be worked out.

I'm not going to get into how everything that's wrong with FFVII:R is what's wrong with modern Square Enix. They do not even create JRPGs anymore, they just create atmospheric action games (and DQXII is going to have the same issue sadly) with RPG mechanics strapped on them (e.g. they strapped an entire turn based battle system onto an action game to please fans after they got negative press they did not expect). The recent rumors that Sony could buy the rights to the series are really interesting as this type of game is what makes Sony successful.

I remain confused about how contentious of a game FFVII:R is. I'm someone who generally hates modern gaming and how bloated and padded everything is, but this title was one of the very rare few that exceeded my expectations. The art direction alone was enough to keep me hooked. The combat was fun, the voice acting was great. The only thing I could even begin to complain about was the changes in the story, but I don't feel like I can properly judge that until it's completed. I'm really not sure how it could have been executed any better while working within the same budget and time constraints.

I think it's only been two or three. I'm in the middle of another one right now. I want to read more but it's just so difficult finding something that holds my interest. I have so many samples downloaded on my Kindle, but am rarely able to commit to any of them.

Never played 1. Didn't like 2. Not convinced that I have any reason to think I'd enjoy 3. On top of that, I just don't have the patience for the grinding that comes with RPGs anymore. My time is too limited.

Jak and Daxter was a great platformer, but Ratchet and Clank will always remain the king in that genre (as far as Sony consoles go)

People have died on much safer "rides". That's going to be a no from me.

I think it mostly depends on the shows you're looking at. I just know that they butchered Arthur with that Flash animation style they switched to. Looked so incredibly cheap.

This is the explanation I found from a Reddit thread:

It's making use of 2 channels, 1 with a username of 666 and another with a username of watc.
When you remove h from the url, it can't parse the query string (the part after the ?) anymore, as it's a query string for the watch url. So instead, it tries to open the profile with the name watc.
YouTube channel settings allows you to set a redirect URL for a specific channel, so what this user has done is have the channel of watc redirect to the video uploaded by user 666."

Is this supposed to be a joke? Marvel is the last IP that I would expect to be accused of being too white. You can literally find characters of every color under the rainbow. What version of these movies are people watching?

This is basically step one for a company that is in trouble. Not that Netflix is going away any time soon, but when your business strategy revolves around adding extra fees, that's not a good sign. You want to make money while drawing in customers, you add value to your service. You don't penalize your customer for taking advantage of a perk that's been around since the beginning. This move is essentially a slap in the face to their entire subscriber base.

The first time he was in the fast lane and I was in the slow lane merging. We both wanted to go into the middle lane. However, I'm ahead of him, so he sees me going into the middle lane with my signals on, but decides to gun through it anyways and go all the way to the merging lane to get off on the next exit a mile down. I pull back into the merging lane and let him through so we don't get in an accident.

This is another thing I encounter often. Instead sometimes I'll have a person behind me, pass me on the left, speed up and then cut me off just to take an exit that they would have been in the correct lane for if they had just stayed where they were. But no, they had to save those .349 seconds and risk an accident. It's completely dumbfounding the things people do on the road. They have no respect for the multi-ton machine that they're controlling. It's like they've never taken a physics course.

That's the thing, I love driving. It's the other drivers that ruin it for me. I'd drive cross-country if we had zombie-apocaplyse levels of traffic.

Just today I narrowly avoided a big accident. I'm driving down a straight road in the left lane. A car pulls out right in front of me. I hoped that they were going to remain in the right lane, but no. The asshat actually moved into my lane. The timing was so egregiously awful that you could only assume that they were deliberately trying to ram into me. I had to slam on my brakes while swerving around him, barely missing the median. I just couldn't believe what had just happened.

And the only thing that spared me from that collision was the fact that was already anticipating it. Every time I come up upon people trying to pull out, I keep my foot over the break, getting ready for them to throw themselves in front of me. I always have to drive assuming everyone else on the road is a complete and utter moron, and it's just exhausting. And then later that same trip, there's another driver who's just driving in the right lane with their left blinker on, and then just staying there. And I knew I couldn't try to pass them, because the moment I'm up alongside side of them, that's when they would finally decide to change lanes.

I just don't even want to leave the house anymore. There are so many places I want to go, but the thought of being on the road just kills my desire. I really hate people sometimes.

I've noticed it too. Just today I had a near collision because someone pulled out right in front of me. I can't even travel 10 minutes away without getting pissed off.

I just hate noise in general. For instance, being in a crowded room where everyone is talking at once is torture to me. Loud music is also a peeve of mine. It makes me wonder if society as a whole is suffering from some degree of hearing loss.

My whole life feels like some kind of dream. Everything feels like it happened years ago but also just yesterday at the same time.

It's one of the things I hate about Reddit, and why I only bother posting in a handful of subs. A lot of them have like ten thousand different rules and it's almost impossible to post in them without violating one, so I don't even bother. My advice is to just find a sub that's more lax.

I think most people don't understand what immortality entails. That's actually the worst possible fate any person could ever be subjected to. Nevermind outliving anyone you'll ever care about, but when humanity and eventually the Earth ceases to exist, you will continue to live within the empty void of space forever with nothing but your own thoughts. This reminds me of a computer game I used to play back in school during the 90s. But it was super simplistic compared to this. A sheet of square paper ran through a conveyor belt and you had to place machines that would either rotate, punch holes, and draw lines across it. The goal was to make it match the sample they gave you. But this looks like that times a million. I wonder if it's less complicated than it looks.
