You make it sound like that's a bad thing. I mean, the reason we keep coming here is for the retro experience.

It's not that 90% of movies are superhero movies. It's that 90% of movies anyone ever talks about are superhero movies. And the other 10% is just whatever other big-budget summer blockbuster is playing. Personally I just have excessive CGI fatigue. Lately I've been getting my movie fix from anything that's pre-2000s.

It wouldn't surprise me if appetizers provided the best profit margins (aside from soda). I never feel like I'm getting my money's worth with them, so I usually just skip them.

Coffee tastes terrible. I love the smell of coffee though. Tea is tastier and more refreshing, so I go with that.

There's an ongoing investigation going on. How are they going to tear down the crime scene? This whole thing is getting shadier and shadier by the day.

I like it too. I especially love the set pieces and all the details in the background. There's so much to be distracted by when fighting enemies. I like how it doesn't try to be anything too different. It's just a suped-up version of TMNT4 and that's all I really wanted.

Would I be missing out on much if I just jump to those? I imagine the show continues to confine each mystery to one episode all the way through?

I'm about eight or so episodes in right now and it doesn't have me completely captivated yet. It seems like all the "spooky" elements depend on very dated CGI. And there doesn't seem to be any sort of B-plots that carry over from episode to episode. So right now it seems like I could watch the episodes in any order and not miss out on anything, which is kind of a letdown. It's one of the highest rated sci-fi shows, so I imagine it does get better, but when?

It's social media and widespread exposure to the internet as a whole. It's like a form of stimulation overload. There's way too many things influencing them and their young impressionable minds can't handle it all. There's also a real-life social angle, where parents are not engaging with their kids properly and are taking a hands-off approach to parenting. I know it's a meme at this point, but there are many kids that are being raised by electronic devices. They're lacking the proper nurturing from real people (ideally their parents). They're not being taught how to handle their emotions or feelings, or anything of the sort. Their understanding of the world comes from Youtube and Tik Tok. These kids sadly never had a chance.

I just watched this video and my jaw was dropped the entire time. The whole field of art is going to be eliminated because AI can create images on the fly based on just a simple description. We can generate faces based on voice, and turn photographs into 3D models that can move. Self-driving cars are on the verge of being perfected, capable of driving in any kind of conditions. We're also going to start growing humans in artificial wombs so they can be mass produced by corporations for slave labor. And much more!

It's fascinating and terrifying at the same time.

I'd take the money, but not out of greed. But because Liar Liar mode would open up a huge can of worms that could easily lead into a global catastrophe. That's a boat I wouldn't want to rock.

As someone who isn't really a big Star Wars fan, I actually enjoyed the prequels the most. The character designs were superior, the sets were grander, and the world-building was better. All I remember from the originals were spaceships, a barren dessert planet, a barren ice planet, and a forest full of teddy bears. I kinda feel nostalgia is carrying those movies a lot more than most people are willing to admit. And specifically the soundtrack. If John Williams hadn't written that score, I'm not sure Star Wars would still be around today.

I think she just has a common case of JRPG wardrobe-itis. If her outfit was practical or sensible in any way, the fanbase would revolt.

More virtue signaling. She already got paid. If the movie is done, may as well release it in the way it was intended. No sense in ruining the movie's cohesiveness by eternal circumstances. The best thing to have done would have been to officially bar her from doing any future projects.

I'm trying to find another anime to get into, but I'm not finding anything that has captivated me the same way Death Note did. Seems like literally every other anime is filled with that same slap-stick humor and characters that are exaggerated stereotypes. I've made my way to Hunter X Hunter and I'm about six or seven episodes in and it doesn't have me hooked yet. None of the main characters seem all that interesting. Gon feels like a 100% generic anime protagonist. I know the show is highly rated, so I imagine it must get better, but when does that happen?

My favorite Indian restaurant that I used to go to all the time just permanently shut down. They had the best damn food there was and now they're closed. Meanwhile there's a McDonalds and Taco Bell on every street corner. I'm so tired of people and their garbage palates. Can't enjoy anything unless it's deep fried or overly processed. It's always been difficult for independent businesses to thrive, and now I feel the problem is just getting worse. You just can't compete with a billion dollar advertising budget.

Is that what haircuts cost these days? Yikes. I bought my own set of clippers years ago for $20 and never looked back. That's what I was paying (with a $5 tip) for each cut back then. And I thought that was too much.

The only game I really put time into trying to get good is Starcraft II. Reached Master League for my efforts. Everything outside of that I'm probably slightly above average at best.

I think one of the biggest issues is that the main villain/villains were just so forgettable. I mean, you get Kreese, Chozin, Silver, and then just some random military drill sergeant dude. He had no presence in the movie whatsoever. And a hero can only be as good as their villain. I really hope Swank does make it in Kobra Kai. I think she has the potential to spice things up even more.

I find out a movie I want to watch is on Hulu, so I go onto Hulu to look it up, and it's LOCKED. I apparently also need a STARZ subscription to watch it. What the hell is this bullshitery?! It feels like I'm trying to summon a fusion monster in Yugioh or something. I just want to watch a damn movie. I don't want to have to hunt down all the pieces I need to unlock it. This is scummy beyond scummy. Piracy can't become rampant enough.
