This games they're debuting parkour and drone racing for the very first time.

What does it have to do with racism? Kobayashi was barred because he refused to sign an exclusivity agreement with MLE and then tried to crash one of the championships without being invited. He then ragequit to his home country because he's not as good as he used to be and couldn't compete in MLE events anymore.

It would be like if David Ortiz refused to sign a contract with the Red Sox and wanted to play in other leagues, left the team, and then randomly rushed onto the field during the world series.

In spite of its many flaws, I'm still happy to live in the U.S. because it absolutely could be much worse.

not that refunds for go fest are making an impact on their books of course, but it's more of a sign that the game is nothing but a data mill (which people hopefully knew) trying to stay alive by towing the line between dumping out one new pokemon a month vs. dumping too many new pokemon too quickly that they catch up to the mainline games and thereby would have no more new content

i've been idly browsing the reddit and they've been pissing off the fanbase bigtime. reducing the community days to 3 hours, removing the weekly remote raid pass, and generally just not advancing the game in any tangible capacity.

This is all true though. I took a break from it for like 8 months because I hit a point where there was very little for me to do besides mindlessly level up. I came back to the game when they started releasing Alola Pokemon and had an awesome time the last 2-3 months, but I've already started to slow down again now that we're in between events. The game has just gotten incredibly stale because they're afraid of running out of Pokemon to add to the game.

TBH I know Niantic and TPC don't want to hear it, but the cold hard truth is that a game like that might need to just finish, instead of whatever insane micro-planning they have over the next 3 years, rationing out 2-3 new Pokemon every few months so that they don't have to worry about leapfrogging Scarlet/Violet until 2025 when they inevitably announce Gen 10.
