I imagine there has to be a level of duress and quantifiable harm done to the individual. I doubt that taking him back home and dropping him and his mistress off against his will would qualify as kidnapping. The driver didn't want to be party to his infidelity, and she chose the most morally vindictive way to do it. Maybe the guy should hire a cab or take his own vehicle next time he wants to play with his girlfriend.

The only people I feel bad for in that video is the guy's family.

Persona 4 Golden platinum trophy is my favourite one, because it took me two playthroughs back to back, and I still only got Hardcore Risette Fan in the last dungeon of the game on my second playthrough.

If you want to support the devs you need to buy at launch

Developers get their money during development. They don't see one red cent from the game's sales unless it's built into a bonus structure. The publisher sees the money post-launch, so this is their doing. If they want our support, they need to build a product worth paying full price for.

Love to see games that I pay full price for go on sale for 30% off after only a month. Yet another reason to never buy games at launch. Fuck me I guess.

I get pretty much the same benchmarks since I have a 165 W 3080 variant, but they're certainly are games I can play at 4K without any difficulty. The desktop 3080 and 3090 can play pretty much everything at 4k, though.

Oh. I had ray tracing enabled as well, which I almost always leave turned off because of the performance hit. I turned that off and saw a 24% improvement in FPS.

4K gaming is a meme at this point. There's no hardware that can adequately perform like people expect it to. 4K 60hz is the best one can expect at this point, and that's with some of the best hardware and DLSS/FSR/XESS enabled. I have a Ryzen 5800x and a 3070 Ti, and I game at 1440p because that's where the sweet spot is for price to performance. This is Cyberpunk 2077 with FSR enabled to max quality. I usually play on balanced.

Oh, and people keep forgetting that a decent 4K TV is a part of the setup in the same way monitors are to a PC, and those can be very expensive. You're getting a mediocre 4K experience for $450.

I mean, the guy was the one most willing to work to diffuse the situation, and he was probably embarrassed as fuck to be in that situation. I'd go to another till to get away from her as well. I don't have enough time in the day to deal with that level of exceptional instability.

I followed this dude. He can explain it better than I can. The only thing I did different was use isopropyl alcohol and q-tips to clean the fan and housing better. We all know that a brush and canned air isn't enough to get rid of all the dust.

Majima is a prime example, because the scenes in which he appeared in the original story carry menace and tension, but all of that evaporates once you engage in Majima Everywhere stuff, where he's a complete goofball.

I never played the original, but the shifting between menace and goofball I think added a Joker like instability to his character that really made him stand out in my mind. It's like he can't decide between murdering you or taking you out for Mai Tais.

I like to play jRPGs and platformers on console. I like to play everything else on PC. I like physical game ownership, so if I can play it on console better than my PC, I will. My PC is no slouch, either.

My missus (who's HR manager) has two separate sexual harassment claims she's having to deal with at work, which is both keeping her working longer hours than usual then getting the work laptop out as soon as she gets home, making her exhausted and stressed, and also really distressing because both cases involve people we quite liked and thought were nice guys and who it turns out really aren't.

Anyways, to answer the point of the topic, I had to put my cat of 15 years down at the beginning of August. I ended up spiking my blood pressure so high that it felt like I was going to have a stroke from the stress of it. That's probably the worst day of 2022. It's been close to 2 months and I still miss her.

I can't imagine being so weak that I think everything's an attack on my character.

Gameplay is tactic RPG with RTS components. Actually yeah, the Baldur's Gate comparison feels accurate. There's a demo on Steam and PS4/5. I thought it felt much less clunky on Steam.

Surprised you didn't add more thermal paste to the cpu while you were in there.

I took mine apart couple years back for that same reason. The thermal paste was what really fixed the issue on mine.

Didn't get that deep into it, though the CPU could probably use a repaste. I was already stripping one of the screws on the PSU, and I didn't want to try my luck any further.

It's not something that console users had to think about before now. Now that consoles are more like PCs, yeah, thermal thresholds matter.

The damn fans spun up like a turbine, and were _very_ loud when playing games. Finally took it apart to clean the fans, heatsink, and vents. Now it makes barely any noise when playing games. Now I don't feel like I'm going to break my system by playing any games on it.

Imagine thinking 3 of us would be in the same place at the same time. We all hate each other.

On a semi related note I'm really unhappy with what NISA did to Trails from Zero on PS4.

Same. It's a low-powered game, so there's no reason why they couldn't execute some of the improvements Durante did on PC. Switch is getting those. Nah. PS4 is getting Kai and that's it. I wanted to keep my collection all on PS4, but I also want to play the best version of the game. So, I'm getting it on Switch.

They're pushing base clock speeds and boost clock speeds a lot. It's why I want to see what the performance is in rasterization. DLSS is good, but it's a smokescreen right now.
