Scream 4 was a better return though for me it struggles to be particularly memorable. The latest Scream had potential but it didn't click for me on the whole. Killing of animals is one of the cheapest and laziest ways of providing shock, in anything really. You can absolutely do it in a way that's effective but here, especially after countless shorts of nonsense and this providing little reprieve, it is just total garbage. In regards to Terrifier, it feels a lot more earned from my view because they did a fine job of establishing Art as an antagonist already, and that brutal death he delivers does the trick of making him even scarier. And, you may or may not agree with this, but there's also a sense of heightened fantasy to it too, where it doesn't feel as real or grounded in something like P is for Pressure is supposed to be. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me.
