And I kinda feel bad for him, which is what's stopping me from telling him to just blow off.

He's been divorced forever, and other than the 20 minute facetime conversation he has with his daughter and grandkids every night, he really has no one else to talk to once he gets home from work. So he brings ALL the stories into work instead.

BUT... he's also one of those guys that doesn't have a conversation, he's the kinda guy that's just waiting for his turn to tell you how much better his version of whatever conversation you're having is.

Went to a ballgame this weekend? He has a story about when he met Nolan Ryan or some shit like that.

No.

I like my job.

I really do.

It pays well, I have great benefits and health insurance and whatnot.

It allows me to use my critical thinking and problem solving skills on a daily basis.

But GOD DAMN I'm having a really hard time tolerating (most of) my co-workers.

It's a small, family run (not my family) business, and the two brothers that own the company fight over EVERYTHING like brothers do. They are also VERY conservative, and VERY political, and have no issues discussing it, whether you want to hear it or not.

One sales guy does nothing but walk laps around the office, showing people photos and videos of his grandchildren. Problem with that is, he shows each person individually. So by the time he gets to my desk, it's the 8th time I heard the HYSTERICAL story of his grandson at the beach yelling "Shark!" because he dropped his shark toy, but all the people panicked because they thought there was an actual shark in the water!

ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL I TELL YOU.

According to what I read on NPR:

Taxpayers will have to submit relevant medical records or other supporting documentation to the department in order to prove their filing.

So, my assumption is you just have to submit medical records saying you're pregnant.

My friends do the exact same thing and they are about as white as it is possible to be.
As someone who is usually very punctual, it gives me a lot of anxiety dealing with people aren't on-time for things.

It KILLS my wife to be late, and I've always been an "If you're on time, you're 10 minutes late" kind of person as well, so I totally get where you're coming from.

Me and my friends always called it "Dominican Time" or "DT" basically for the same reason it's called "CT".

We would deliberately tell my friend Jamie and her husband whatever we were doing was actually starting 45 minutes earlier than it actually is. That way, they'd only be 10-15 minutes late, and not a full hour.

There were times where I would get to a restaurant, text to see where they are, and she would respond "I'm about to hop in the shower, I'll be there in a bit."

No. Immortality means you "could" live forever, not that you "will" live forever.

For example, if someone is immortal, but you chop their heard off, they're going to die.

He's basically a rental, as he's "only" due $3 million next season, with a club option for 2024.

I think it still comes down to you understanding that people are upset by this, just not as upset as you feel they should be.

As many take the stance of "Even in the face of this new information that makes me even MORE mad, the rent is still due on the 15th, and it's on me to properly balance my anger along with realizing that the work still needs to get done".

So people can be both mad that it's happening, get madder when new information enforces how bad it is, raise awareness that it is happening, but still go through their normal 9-5 daily routines and not let their corporate anger control their lives.

For me, the only really "bullying" I got was my sister's boyfriend (he was 2 years older than me) and his friends would jokingly block the hallway as I was trying to get to class in order to make me late.

Other than that, maybe some slight razzing on the football practice fields when I was one of the younger players on the team.

Nothing ever got physical though, past the normal contact one would have during practice
