I got a letter in the mail with conditional approval for a credit card with a $1000 limit.

It is with a bank I totally stopped ages ago and had nothing more than $6 sitting in the account for over 2 years.

Bank still somehow conditionally approves $1000 credit card.

Makes sense.

Point out that he's literally asking you to do more work without being compensated for that extra work. Then tell him that because you like the job and you do trust that the company isn't actively trying to take advantage of you but is genuinely just in a tight spot at the moment you'll take the promotion on the condition that, by the end of the year, you get the pay raise.

When November comes around and you haven't had a raise yet, remind the boss of your agreement.

If it gets to December and you still don't have a raise, remind him again of the agreement and inform him that you'll be putting in your two week notice just before the holiday.

That approach actually sounds legit and reasonable. However, I do not have the luxury of calling it in two weeks before Christmas since I'm renting.

boxington posted...
maybe it's bad advice, but I recommend that you take the position so that you'll have a fancier title to put on your resume, which might end up helping out if your boss doesn't give you a raise after a while

I was thinking that at first. However, 'senior associate' sounds better than 'associate team leader'. Team leader sounds like small time management role at McDonald's.

What I hate when bosses/companies do stuff like this, they are basically punishing their employees that work well. In my old retail job, we had two part timers for the weekend. They put me on Saturdays (busier with lower pay) and the other part timer on Sundays (MUCH quieter and higher pay) because I was a bit quicker at doing things. I didn't like that at all. Saturdays was 1.25 and Sunday was 2!

Basically, he wants to change my job description from 'senior associate' to 'associate team leader'. This means I will have to assume more roles and responsibilities.

I asked about remuneration rate for this role and he said wasn't able to increase my salary from the what it is now. But there is the potential of it going up before the end of the year.

I have literally never heard of a job promotion without some sort of salary increase. Sounds like they want to dump more responsibilities on me that they weren't able to do otherwise due to my current job description.

He's pressuring me to accept by the end of this week. Should I go for it?

So I could try... You buy ingame packs not singles.

Singles are generated through a card trader that uses in game currency not obtainable through real money.

It does a decent job at keeping F2P decks strong but not so strong they can reach King of Games (highest level) each season.

So far I've hit Plat 3 before the inclusion of Legend rank.

Back before DLC and microtransaction existed, I remember putting in codes to get the cards I wanted free on Eternal Duelist Soul.

If you get injured on the street in China good luck getting help from the public. Due to iffy Good Samaritan laws, it is commonplace for a person coming to someone's aid to get sued for medical bills.

So as a result, everyone is too scared to help anyone who needs help in the fear of being sued.

China even has, 'Good Samaritan insurance', where if you can make a claim if you get sued by someone for helping them out.

Goldeneye is amazing, one of the best games ever made. But yeah, it shouldn't have been as good as it was, although it still should've been very good, even with those problems.

I think the biggest potential problems was how Nintendo kept trying to wreck it. First, they wanted it to be some generic side-scrolling platformer with guns, on the SNES, and they also wanted it so at the end, you went to a hospital and shook hands with all the people you hurt, and they weren't even dead. These suggestions were awful. It's a good thing Rare did just their own thing.

On a side note, I can't believe how bad Rare are these days. I haven't bought anything by them in about 10 years. The ideas for games seem quite bad, and they don't like look much fun to play.

Their team is pretty much gone. A good portion of them left to start up their own video game companies or projects.

Cash is a quick easy 2k.

The latter grants you the ability to spontaneous create blank, unbranded, fully functional CD-ROMs in front of you.

The CD-ROMs are bundled in unmarked packages of 50 and you can create 500 CDs every 24 hours.

You CAN use this ability for self-profit as you see fit, however:

If another person witnesses you in the act of using your ability, you will lose the ability permanently right after.

Which one do you pick? If you choose to use the latter to make a profit, how would you do it?

It does. But that is unlikely to happen when Nintendo is forcing IS to solely focus on Fire Emblem.

They COULD make it work, especially as a smartphone game. They would just have to market how Advance Wars is similar to Fire Emblem but with an exciting and modern twist to it.

Although I dislike the free-to-play model a lot, it is the only shot Advance Wars would really have at this point.

And even then, it's still unlikely to happen since Nintendo smartphone games tend to be high budget and making an AW game would divide their FE: Heroes playerbase.
