Soul Blazer was a sneakily good game. Can also confirm Arcana and Actraiser were underrated. Secret of Evermore was considered overrated back in it's time. Some hype when it came out since people loved the first game but it didn't compare well to more popular games of the day.

I play drums and have also used my fair share of electronic drum machines. The beat itself is very common and would been included in any half-decent drum machine, which is often what people jam to when they're writing new music. So the fact they're the same doesn't really mean anything.

The backing chords are similar but are also pretty typical of that kind of music. I mean we're not talking about a complex arrangement. It's just two chords. The same exact arrangement is in tons of other game music, too. The melodies played over the top are totally different.

This. Fairly common for late '80s, early '90s music that used drum machines.

There was lots of subtle little things that made multiplayer fun including level and weapon design. I remember skeet-shooting competitions with my buddies involving the Grenade Launcher and scoped weapons. Or proximity mines on instant-death mode. Even better, slappers only on instant-death mode. Good times.

One can still essentially be 'colour blind' and still acknowledge that the person with a different skin colour may have been treated differently throughout their life because of it. The blind person can still treat them as they would anyone else. And that should be the ideal should it not?

5x07 - The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
5x08 - LaFleur

These two were the best episodes in a long time. It still feels like the show is focusing too much on the nonsensical main plot, but there's a greater focus on character development again. Everything else has changed so much it almost feels like a totally different show now. The feeling of time passing is tangible.

Season 5 has its moments. I loved what they did for season 6 personally.

I had the same problem. 2 dollars to replace the shoulder cable and the tiny screwdrivers are super cheap as well. Had to wait two weeks because I didn't want to pay extra for shipping. Easy fix.

It's impossible for life and society to be 100% fair for everyone. Some people get the short end of the stick, trans people more than most. This is one of those occasions that I would say has no easy answer but leaning towards agreeing with the no penis policy. It would be better if society was more comfortable with nudity in general though. Then perhaps these issues wouldn't keep popping up.

They are trans, that's reason enough. And no doctor would be able to give hormones to a patient under 18 (or over 18) without some serious proof their gender identity is genuine.

And every student has the right to compete, nondiscrimination laws are federally mandated even if Betsy devos wants to dance around that point from here to next week.

My point was they may not even necessarily be on HRT. The article didn't include that point of information (and unfortunately comes off as somewhat biased against them) while adding in they were competing on the men's team roughly a year ago. The only criteria mentioned for them to compete was for them to self-identify as their gender and for their school to agree with it.

What elements of men make them better athletes than women (in most cases)? Is it the testosterone? The bone structure? The muscle ratio?

Puberty plays an enormous role. But yeah, muscle, testosterone.

So, when someone transitions from MtF do they lose that muscle tone and testosterone level that would give that person the advantage?

With proper hormone levels being maintained, it'll be 6-12 months before muscle atrophy becomes severe. For those who transitioned young and had puberty blocked for their default hormones, it'll never even be a thing.

Bone structure is bs though, as trans women actually have higher risks for osteoporosis and those sorts of bone diseases.

Atrophy onset comes later for athletes than for average folk.

100% this. I still do this from time to time since I can't get out of that mindset. However it has not helped me in any of my jobs. They don't say oh this guy works hard lets reward him.

This works well for those in the trades which the pledge is somewhat tailored towards. People who do the bare minimum are the first to be let go.

He never claims to be an authority on hard work. Bill Nye dubbed himself the Science Guy. The pledge is for people who are applying for free money from his charity.

He was involved with Mitt Romney's campaign.

Same thing happened with our daughter. Broke our smart tv by throwing something at the screen in a tantrum. After calming down, the wife came up with the idea that she was grounded until she did a set amount of chores per day for X amount of weeks to pay it back. It took a while but our daughter understood what she did wrong and that we have to pay for our mistakes sometimes.

Writers strike really killed the momentum of that show. Season 4 was when people stopped talking about the show every week debating the mysteries. FWIW I liked most of season 6 but certain parts were extremely disappointing.
