Agreed (if the russian gov did that), but let's not pretend the US doesn't have a massive history of interfering in elections. Not all (or many) of these can be morally justified.

I actually kind of agree that giving info about ISIS in Syria to Russia is not really a bad idea in theory, we are supposed to be working together on that, and keeping info from each other can only result in further civilian deaths. But uh it shouldn't be the Pres giving info in secretive meetings, there should be a greater, open policy of working together on this. However, one unfortunate side effect of the Russian ties investigation (which I think is worthwhile, though I am somewhat skeptical still) is that it makes collaboration with the Russians on this seem sketchy, when it shouldn't.

I definitely don't think it's cool to give away locations of intelligence agents that AREN'T OURS.

I'm sure whoever these agents are in whatever Syrian city Trump mentioned are gonna love the headlines tomorrow.

Mainstream politicians vastly overestimate how conservative the electorate is.

But a lot of those people don't vote and thus let conservatives squeak out wins.

Obviously running more people farther left would boost that demographic's turnout, but by how much?

I worry that there is a fundamental flaw in ideals that are that far left that says "You can't beat the system. The only way to win is not to play."

As someone who thinks Bernie/Ellison types are like, the farthest to the right a politician I would accept is....I don't think the dems (and mainstream medias) problem is not criticizing themselves enough, its they ONLY criticize the left wing of their party rather than the right wing. democrats in power and the msm, not saying the voters, hate the left wing of their party so much. I guarantee most of them would rather have a republican (with a more 'presidential demeanor' than Trump) than someone like Bernie.

Now if the in-fighting means ousting left-wingers for other left-wingers while also keeping pressure on the republicans, then yeah absolutely. But if the strategy is "clean out your own party, forget the opposition!" then I feel like that's just a recipe for a very weak, very divided left.

There's a lot of nuance here that doesn't fit easily into a slogan. I live in a state and district where all my Senators and my Congresswoman are Dems, and I do try to follow their voting records when they're up for elections, and I'm pleased with them. I'm not in an area where I really can do much except do my best to boost the Green Party and campaign anti-GOP.

It really depends on who your Representative and Senators are to determine your priorities
