lmao

Navy officials say they are planning a number of PowerPoint trainings related to urban maritime navigation.

The reference to PowerPoint gave it away for me, but that phrase "urban maritime navigation" might just have to be my new go-to phrase for pointless, nonsense or waste of time training classes.

The most common resolutions are all multiples of 360 in height, to make scaling easier. Why they chose 30, I don't know, but I do think it's interesting that 360 is divisible by so many factors.

Anyway...
360
720
1080
1440
2160

I suppose it might be worth asking why they skipped 1800, but could just be that 1440 -> 1800 isn't that significant a difference.

Or maybe they do make 1800 monitors. I'd guess at least someone has at some point.

DevsBro

I could see some fringe cases where being early could be bad, especially if you scheduled the order for a specific time.

For example, I'll often schedule the exterminator or other services for pretty much the minute I get home from work to fit it in during business hours without taking time off work. Sometimes they're early and it's weird to wonder how long they've just been creeping in the driveway.

Pizzarias usually deliver after business hours though which is why I say it would take a fringe case.

As long as they need to, I guess.

Years ago I was flying cross country and I got seated next to this adorable little girl, maybe five or six. I kept her company for the first hour or so, until she fell asleep. Fast forward half an hour, and she kinda half woke up and crawled into my lap and fell back asleep. Cutest thing in the world. Her mother came to check on her, and kept apologizing but I told her I didn't mind. Guess she did that with her father all the time, and did it to me on instinct.

Were you freaking out over the possibility of getting accused of stuff? I would have been.

Yep, all my cars I bought used. Though technically the one I drive now was "used" on a technicality since I was always the primary driver and bought it for $10 and other valuable considerations.

I mean if it only goes half as far before finally kicking the bucket, that's really not a big enough deal to offset spending six to eight times as much for it.

Then got killed in my near-death search for a recharge station.

Was always the hardest part of the game.

This time around, I can see where people are coming from when they say the plot got in the way with this one. A lot of what the plot accomplished could have been accomplished without the dialog. Without even really changing the game otherwise. It's pretty clear that there's a fake you out there who destroys you if you try to stand your ground, which is really the bulk of the story. Maybe a dialog exchange at the beginning, one after you kill one of the SA-X, and one at the end. You can get directed around a la Metroid Prime, tbh. There's no need for the computer to tell you stuff like "There's a meltdown imminent in sector 3" when there's a vocal clip that could easily just say that instead of the vague warning it gives you.

But don't even care. I love this game so much.

Scrambled eggs and a sausage sure is elaborate.

But yeah, I hear you. Even after her grandmother died, the second-saddest I have ever felt for Mrs. DevsBro was when she made herself some eggs and jelly toast for breakfast and dropped it on the floor before she could eat even a bite. She was already stressed out about a lot of things, so she was quite upset and wouldn't let me make her some more.

Before anyone asks, the first... I don't like to talk about.

Women in general don't think the same way men do. They're not going to have a complete list of criteria all at once. Instead, if they tell you they're looking for a man who will treat them right, they're focusing n whst presently seems to be the most common dealbreaker.

Perhaps that one guy who will probaby treat her right also, Iunno, isn't a dog lover. She wasn't thinking of that atm but that's also an issue.

It's not that different from how men and women generally approach shopping differently. Men generally know they want a 19mm lug wrench before they enter the store. Women, otoh, will generally go see what's available, what they like and don't like, and all thst jazz.

The Cube's library isn't as huge as the 2's, nor are its major first party titles generally as strong as some of Nintendo's other systems but if you're into Nintendo's B list and take remaining highlights for quality insteaf of quantity, it's a really strong system.

Spider-Man 2, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, Luigi's Mansion, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Sonic Adventure DX, Soul Calibur II... *passes the mic*
