I find it works both ways too. Town that gets lucky as part of their victory will always blame the win on their correct reads. It's a pretty basic example of the fundamental attribution error where bad things that happen to you are attributed to external events but good things are attributed to internal successes.

Appreciate the feedback man. I definitely wasn't confident enough about my reads. It's sort of a problem that I have, where I don't like to declare I'm taking a side.

Shut it down pretty quickly after that.

i don't mean just your arguments though, i mean your attitude

you acted cocky, accused everyone else of being idiots, and came across as mean-spirited at times. i only bring this up because it means people are less open to listening to your arguments when you are openly hostile. and it makes people more likely to buy into arguments against you because they have a negative bias. that's why i have historically had trouble (and i assume this applies to others to an extent) reading you, ulti, chris, and spiral who are pretty much the loudest voices in the room in any game of mafia you play. coming in and commanding attention really rubs people the wrong way. i can't read you guys when you are so abrasive that i can't tell whether my negative feelings about you are because you're scum or because you just irritate me.

Play an entire day on the defensive like day 5 and see how annoyed you get. Like, red was probably confirmed town and too lazy to even look back at earlier days to see why I wouldn't be scum. And if its mylo, I can't have the confirmed town nipping at the heels to lynch me.

And the se7en day the read was so obvious and pointed out by both me and MI who flipped town previously that just I was annoyed there too.

I spent too much time being attacked.

Anyone who has played scum with me knows I tell them all the time. Don't worry when I bus you because no one will lynch you then. It is funny.

Granted a lot of my reads were wrong here. Deadpool and dowolf notably. And ea (who I knew probably was town once red revealed his scan but I had no choice to keep lynching him as scum cuz I needed dowolf and PJ to be town to have a chance to survive).

But, they were not all wrong. And I was handwaved on the right ones as much as the wrong ones.

man I played day 1 on the defensive from you, that's way harder and I still managed to keep a levelheaded discussion outside of being a little melodramatic in my frustration.

Wanted to straight up apologize to ed. I said a lot of mean things about you on my attempt to break scum, but you're making huge efforts to play and that shouldn't be discouraged. I notice sometimes you fixate on really weird things that don't make much sense to me in terms of whether those things tell us alignment or not.

I'm soliciting opinions: Should I have claimed when I did or should I have hid everything from everybody? I do see red's point, we maybe could have started to roll people but I just felt like JC would get lynched if I didn't bail him out.

Also, red I wish I would have felt better about your alignment night 3. That ed scan didn't seem like a town-red thing to me which is why I had to go with my #1 read of Justin (no offense justin, but I trust red with a roleblock more than you, didn't agree with the corrik rb because even if he was scum, don't think he would have led the kill).

i sorta figured the inventor would have waited for me to mention something if the train was moving on to me since they knew i had a doc save i could pull out as a defense for there being no kill that night. i thought the ball was in my court there.
