I mean. You go to a bar with a 20 dollar cover and get a round of shots for 5 people and you could easily be spending 65-75 dollars within the first 5 minutes at a bar.

Sounds like you have more concerns if you spend nearly 100 bucks in 5 minutes. That also still doesn't make it "normal" or "common."

People like it because it has debatably the best battle system out of any turned based rpg, a good story, and a focus on running through dungeons while living the life of a high schooler which calls for making friends and joining clubs irl. The Persona are more secondary to the actual characters themselves.

You can simplify literally any game if you try to boil them down to a single sentence like you did.

Oh I'm sure it's great and entertaining and all but the aesthetic just isn't my bag. I'm sure I'd like 5 if I gave it a chance. I was playing FFX and then switched over to KOTOR 2 and the writing is just night and day... but I imagine that's the price you pay when you have to translate it.

Well P5 isn't like FFX at all if that helps.

EA sure as fuck think it flopped.

Not meeting expectations =/= flop

Plus based on what was leaked and said in interviews, sounds as if they gave the game to a new team with not enough resources and rushed the game out before it was done to move on to other projects (probably Anthem). So they probably settled on no dlc to begin with.

Nothing shy of being the best game of the year by a large margin probably wouldn't have changed their direction.

For the 20 or $30 you can find it for now, definitely. The combat is great, and multiplayer is fun. Everything else is a mixed bag and depends on how anal you are, and how much you compare it to the first trilogy.

As someone who came into the series with Andromeda, it feels worth the $60 for me. Exploring the different environments is actually fun, again the combat is some of the best I've seen in a shooter, and they can be cheesy but I like the characters.

Too easy, least amount of new Pokemon, next to NO post game content, didn't even have many legendaries to catch, the most lackluster villains BY FAR (we want to spread fashion wtf), and it didn't add anything new to the table.

Johto also way too low to be from the game with two regions and a lot to do and the ability to collect nearly every Pokemon to (its) date.
