Apparently!

One theory I've heard is that, before the Great Flood, the planet was surrounded by a large hollow sphere of water. Also, it had never rained before (so when Noah tried to warn people about the Flood, they were like "xfd why would water fall from the sky"). So the sphere is where all the water in the Flood came from, and losing it caused drastic climate changes worldwide.

Also, the water sphere, like, insulated the world from radiation or something, which is why carbon dating anything prior to the Flood gives wildly inaccurate results ("millions of years old").

I was still reading gaming magazines when FFXI came out. It's been awhile.

Never played it and always assumed that the project essentially killed Square.

I mean, just a few years ago it was the most profitable Final Fantasy and hasn't gained a rep for needing to pull talent from other teams to get it working (unlike, say, 13 or 14). Plus it's still pulling in subscription fees fifteen years after launch, which is a rare thing among MMOs at this point.

It still gets monthly updates even. Console versions got shut down over a year ago, but the PC version is still kicking. No more major content - 2015's Rhapsodies of Vana'diel was the last of that - but I just saw a tweet about July's update continuing something called the Ygnas Directive storyline.

Yes, Those Left Behind is the ONLY one to be read before the movie. (Well, depending on the edition, you could get away with Better Days, but the later printings include Float Out which is absolutely a post-film comic.)

It sounds like he mixed up XI and XII, with the former being the other MMO (and though it was declared content-complete back in 2015, it does still get minor updates, as recently as two weeks ago).

If you do watch Dollhouse, I think they have a re-cut episode or something to replace the first six or so episodes. I watched it when it aired so I never saw it myself, but definitely look into that, because that beginning stretch is fucking garbage.

I would have dropped the show fast if it wasn't a Whedon show.

The opposite actually. The one you're thinking of was the original pilot, and then the network (Fox again) basically said "Nah, make the first few completely standalone, no continuity required."

I'm reminded that we never actually got to see Reavers. :(

Those Left Behind was three issues. They might be listing the whole series under that name, but officially it's only the first volume.

Vol. 1) Those Left Behind (bridges show with movie)
Vol. 2) Better Days (takes place sometime within the show timeline, before Heart of Gold. Later printings include several online short comics and I think a one-shot set after the movie)
Vol. 3) The Shepherd's Tale (exactly what it says on the tin)
Vol. 4) Leaves on the Wind (set after the movie)
Vol. 5) No Power in the 'Verse (set after vol. 4)

Those Left Behind is the only one published prior to the movie and thus the only one you should read before watching.

My son has a behavior incentive of a new pack every week, a deck after a month. I play the online version a little, maybe a match or two a day, just using the pre-made decks I have. It's a decent time-waster, I guess.
