It had some issues, but most people you'll see on forums like this will blow them up times a thousand. Then again, this is the same site (and same board especially) that loves to hate on games like Breath of the Wild and Nintendo in general. smh But the combat was at least an B+ or A-. The story was rather average (C+ to B range). Characters and character development was definitely the highest point, and pacing was a bit all over the place. Bosses were some of the best I've played against in gaming. It's a personal 8.5/10 for me, but I could definitely see people giving it much lower. I'm surprised Sega is finally giving Puyo a chance outside Japan again. Super Puzzle Fighter is Street Fighter themed Puyo Puyo and has been around in America for ages. I just looked it up and it's mildly similar but to basically call them the same like this is pretty wrong While not the same, SPF probably has my favorite gameplay mechanics out of every puzzle game I've played. If it were updated and had more modes and they went even further with the health system, it would be better than Puyo Tetris by a mile. Also you cannot use your ability in exploitation of bets and any other form of gambling, but everything else is on the table. Basically you press the button before the day is over and you are reverted to wherever you were 12:00 am that day with all of your current memories in tact. Any use of lottery or gambling related activity changes, but that is the only thing that changes. You know, I would rather have this cell phone feature than a parade of friends at school lunch, requesting my time that after school. Yeah, honestly it makes a lot more sense than the hammed up and often cheesy hanging out moments in Persona 4. The idea of the texting feature is cool, but the novelty wares off quickly. Felt the same about Tokyo Mirage Sessions, except I was able to tolerate it here more up until around the time Makoto joined and I got sick of it.
