discord seems to have put the last nail in the coffin of irc as well. the only sites i know that still used irc have replaced it with discord.

irc is really discord's only competitor at this point I think, it's the only chat program that doesn't just have literally everything done better by discord

Willing to bet that a majority of those situations were created by you not following the rules

The most common one is when I'm trying to go straight through a light in a bike lane and cars try to turn left in front of me, cutting me off. Not sure you can really blame that one on me :/

Isekai isn't reeally a genre. It's more like a setting. You can have isekai comedy (konosuba) or fantasy/adventure (no game no life) or mystery (I know I've heard of one before but it's not coming to mind) or etc



admittedly most of them are sword and sorcery style fantasy adventures

Use a Yamask with eject button. Switch it into a physical move. Switch into Slaking with pursuit. Get a non-useless slaking. Won't work on good opponents but a fun gimmick.

you probably don't want giga impact on that slaking though, the whole point is that you get rid of truant... so don't use moves that basically just put it back -_-

interesting, I played a game called this as well but it was totally different

basically, you wait until late at night when it's dark and hard to see. Pick a spot/object for home base, preferably put some sort of light there, everyone waits there with their eyes closed for a bit while the 1 ghost goes and hides somewhere. Then the people move out and look for the ghost, usually spread out looking in different places.

When someone finds him they shout "ghost in the graveyard" and try to run back to the home base, the ghost tries to catch up and touch as many people as he can before they make it back. Anyone who gets caught also becomes a ghost and hides in the next round. The ghost can also try to touch people before anyone notices where he is but that's generally pretty tough.

It wasn't an official rule but generally as a ghost you don't hide inside super complicated hiding spots or anything, you just use the fact that it's really dark and do simple things like hiding behind trees or whatever

THe combat in that game was pretty which is the only reason I finished. I stopped caring about rhe characters and story pretty early in because it was such trash.

I honestly don't find the combat particularly fun either, rowan spamming fireballs easily outdamages the rest of the team combined and while there are lots of mechanics that reward precision play (parrying, dodging just before an attack) it's very hard to make use of them because the game is super laggy when everyone's spamming moves at once.

I think the only redeeming feature of it is the character banter. Their roles in the overall story and how they react to things are often pretty stupid but the side skits and post battle cutscenes are generally good

if you play a game like Overwatch and can't control yourself enough to not buy loot boxes to gamble on getting skins that literally have no effect on the game whatsoever and are 100% optional and you can only ever use one at once and that you can get by just playing the game anyway, that's your fault not Blizzard's

Sure some of the responsibility is the player's but there's a reason casinos and gambling have all the restrictions they do. Don't try and act like the companies are totally innocent here

Gacha based games have basically killed multiple franchises and mostly ruined mobile as a gaming platform and yet criticizing them tends to get serious backlash for reasons I don't really understand

the idea that the "boss fights" of the game are intentionally based on making a team with at least one massive glaring weakness and then telling you what that weakness is before battle is a bit questionable to say the least

a pretty low percentage, though I don't know exactly what. Considering I generally try to avoid stuff that looks like it'll be bad, and that I also don't really have any qualms against dropping things that aren't interesting me, I don't end up reading garbage that often (not to mention I wouldn't even consider that one terrible, that's a pretty strong word).

A lot more common with VNs is that they'll have some good stuff and some extremely boring/bland stuff, and then how "good" I think they are depends on the ratio between the two. I probably wouldn't call something terrible unless it had almost no good stuff at all or it had some particularly bad ideas/events
