I know it's a right-leaning source, but we seem to have this situation where left-leaning sources just don't cover, or downplay, the bad behaviour of Antifa. Probably because they either support their stated goal of combating fascism or because they don't want to validate the claims of people on the Right who criticize Antifa. I'm not aware of anything lethal they've done yet, but antifa are known to commit acts of violence and vandalism. Throwing M80s into crowds, throwing glass bottles, pepper spraying people, throwing tear gas (but the wind was against them so they gassed themselves), stalking and assaulting journalists at G20, beating people over their heads with metal bike locks, etc. That snopes article became questionable to me the moment they try to say she probably wasn't throwing glass bottles, but maybe just picking up trash. No, there is entirely valid reason to think that. Reality doesn't follow sci-fi timeline nonsense. If his ancestors, on his mother's and father's sides, going back numerous generations, had not immigrated to the US when they did (or pre-revolutionary war colonies depending on the circumstances), none of the series of events would've occurred that would have necessarily had to occur to culminate in his existence. In the same way that if any number of events did not occur in history, we'd have a very different present. If his appreciation for Columbus is his influence on the colonization process had a positive impact on Tv's eventual existence, then it isn't really pointless for him because the European colonization of North America is an essential event for his existence. The same is the case for every American. --- |

We would have a radicallu diffrent world with a uniquely seperate group individual descendents. I liked the game not so much for the perfectly serviceable story, but for the fun gameplay, the cool setting, the awesome soundtrack, the entertaining characters, etc. My only gripe about the game is how easily you can trivialize the content. I mean, if you're, say, 5 levels or more over a boss, then that boss can't challenge you. The way the hit and evasion chance scales with levels means if you're like 5+ levels above a boss, it will barely be able to even touch you. And vice versa, of course, but at least when you're under leveled, you have ways of boosting your accuracy to make up for it. --- |

Some people had different opinions but it was all polite until some guy started chipping in starting with "let me tell you why most of you are wrong...." and went on a massive monologue for about 5 minutes. Well, yeah, that is one of the reasons SJWs are typically distinguished from otherwise well-meaning people. They can't just advocate for gender, race, etc, they have to be total assholes about it. They've got to use their virtue as a shield and their activism like a cudgel and bully people who don't immediately fall in line. The worst parts are probably when such a person manages to rally the mob to try to destroy someone's life or bully them out of public spaces. And I don't even just mean just going after anti-SJWs, anti-feminists, etc. Just recently, as I heard, a writer for Kotaku UK, Laura Kate Dale got a ton of harassment from SJWs because she wrote an article about TotalBiscuit and moderating harassment. Apparently Anita Sarkeesian took to Twitter to condemn the article and the hoard descended upon her until she and Kotaku UK apologized to the harassers for writing the article. And not long ago, feminist youtuber Laci Green got metaphorically crucified by these outraged warriors because she had the audacity to say she wanted to engage in conversation with seemingly reasonable anti-feminists, instead of no-platforming the lot of them. She was doxxed, harassed, labelled a traitor to women, trans people, PoCs, etc. Especially once it came out that she was dating the YouTuber Chris Ray Gun. --- |
