In the episode Starcrossed when Hawkgirl betrays the league to the thanagarians, how did Hawkgirl know that the league where in Batman's Batcave, located under Bruce Wayne's house? No one knew each other's identity in the league except Batman and Superman to each other.

Ahem...

"Today, the world changes. Kasnia is at the forefront of these changes. Crucial to these changes was Kasnia's contribution to the international space station, a contribution somewhat larger than what you've been led to believe.

This device is called a 'mass driver,' but I prefer its more colloquial application: a rail gun. Perhaps a demonstration is in order?

The asteroid is mostly iron ore, pulled in by device's large magnetic coils. The target is anywhere I choose. Right now, were I the USS Avington carrier group, I'd pick up my pace substantially.

(scene of the device, really a coil gun, firing at a fleet of ships)

With our rail gun in orbit, Kasnia has the ultimate high-ground. I am now the dominant military power on Earth! And there ARE going to be some changes...

(Vandal Savage picks up some index cards and hold up the first one)

Item 1..."

I just typed this from memory. I haven't heard the actual speech in at least a year.

Who do you think voted for Hawkgirl to stay and who to kick her out?

From what we know for sure:

GL - abstained

Superman - stay

Wonder Woman - Kick out

Flash - stay

Batman - ?

Martian Manhunter - ?

It seems most likely that Batman voted to kick her out and MM voted for her to stay, but someone posted an interesting reason on why Batman voted to kick her out and make a tie; it was to force Superman to make a decision and that ended up being for Hawkgirl to stay in the justice league.

In Hereafter?

It made sense. He killed the human race. He got lonely. He felt bad for halting the growth of civilization.

yeah, if you examine savage's character he falls more under 'well intentioned extremist' than 'omnicidal maniac'

he wants to guide human evolution to a positive end, not simply conquer the planet

personally my favorite was probably divided we fall. flash finally gets to be the hero

That's what I'd think as well. MM could read her mind and see she was truly repentant and sorry for what she did, while Batman would see her as an untrustworthy wild card from then on.

Anyway, my fave is the very last episode, where Superman makes that "living in a world of cardboard" speech.

Yeah, I didn't particularly like that part. But seeing Superman go full BAMF on Darkseid was awesome, even as short-lived as that part was.

Epilogue for me. However, I want to point out this bar scene with the Trickster is one of my favorite character scenes in any medium. Good call. Such great writing. Epilogue has Batman and Ace sitting in a set of swings. It says everything you need to know about it why he is a hero. Still... Flash is actually a rare guy Bruce admires and that bar scene says it all.

Easily one of the best episodes. And easily the most heartbreaking.

I don't know what was worse. Superman having to give up the life he always wanted on Krypton or Batman having to watch his parents die again.

Hereafter
Kid's Stuff
Ultimatum
The Greatest Story Never Told
Task Force X

Thing is...

Superman saw Darkseid as nothing more than Dan Turpin's killer. His rage overwhelmed him.

In Twilight, Superman was going to stay on the exploding asteroid base JUST to kill Darkseid.

In Destroyer, Darkseid was winning via pure fisticuffs until Superman punched him through three buildings. After that, Darkseid had to resort to the Agony Matrix. Otherwise, he would've ended up as roadkill.

Epilogue...I am not a Big Batman guy..but damn him and Ace.

the point is that the agony matrix was a giant superweapon pulled out of nowhere so they could have lex save the day

it is very much an interruption of the narrative and highly anticlimactic

I agree with this. It's the one real part of the DCAU, particularly JLU, that really irks me.

It would've been much more fulfilling to have Clark score the win.

good summary

so often the problem with shows like this is the writers had too many neat ideas and decided on 'all of them'
