That isn't to say that biases don't exist -- everyone knows I'm a Beatrix fanboy, for example. But in a blowout like this, it's very unlikely everyone has the exact same biases at the exact same time.

Let me tell you right now that arguments very well do mean something. I won a few matches based entirely on my arguments in M4. You just have to impress, and, well, this wasn't too impressive. (Don't listen to Corrik; he's good at Mercs because he's good at planning abilities and synergies, not arguments)

Arguments tend to be more impressive when you're revealing something new or unknown about the characters involved. Unfortunately, as others have said, Tidus, Frog, Link, and Bowser are all known quantities to voters. Considering you're flat-out ignoring most of the stuff your opponents can do and somehow relying on the Shell to auto-kill most people on the enemy team (when there's plenty of good healing and acrobatics to go around), it should be no surprise that nobody's buying what you're selling.

Main advice is to can it about "biases." It's a crutch to use as an excuse for playing poorly and arguing mediocre-ly. Don't alienate your voters; this is a game of charisma in addition to strategy. You're new to Mercs, you made mistakes, it happened to all of us. Suck it up and learn from this. There's plenty more game to play in the next few weeks.

To answer Chris, yes, I have super low Sora respect, and part of it is probably because I despise his series so, so much. I fully admit to that.

Also thanks to SF5, Zangief has canon feats about psycho-drive-infused sword strikes shattering off his MUSCLE SPIRIT. I think Akuma's quite a few tiers up from the Red Cyclone lore-wise...

He does, including the greatest paladin in Azaroth, Tirion Fordring, at the Silver Hand's HQ, on consecrated ground (seriously nerfing him), and only is prevented from hellmurdering everyone there is because he gets surprised by Davvon tossing the Ashbringer to Tirion -- a weapon crafted from pure Light designed specifically to kill the Lich King -- and he gets inconvenienced by it enough for the Silver Hand to GTFO.

Arthas SOLOS

Seriously this guy is an absolute monster.

Pain and Suffering, Remorseless Winter, various fast-acting plagues, Defile pools, Death Grip, Frostmourne lore hype, tons of minions to keep the enemies busy, one particular obnoxious summon called Raging Spirit (basically rips off a piece of an enemy's soul to make a spirit copy of it, but way stronger and tankier)... Plus he's on his place of power, and considering it took a literal miracle from the cosmic force of Good to put this guy down... yeah. Arthas is a 9/week for a reason.

(Arthas doesn't actually SOLO, but damn does he alongside Vergil make this a stomp.)

Not much for me to add here since what's done is done, but I want to be clear that we need to work on consistent ability templating going forward. I stand by the ruling but understand why this was so controversial and frankly isn't the kind of thing we would need to fight about if ability wording was consistent and defined ina standard form.

I'm going to work on this when I have the chance. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
