OK. The MELEE title is vacated. CPU declined Option C (PU) and took another option instead, option E(urope).

So we will have a MELEE MAYHEM rules tournament to decide the new champion, with the final being at MOUNTAIN OF MAYHEM! The bracket will be announced on Combat.

The Orton/Wyatt match is a really weird thing for me because I realized that even though I like the story quite a bit and am a decently big fan of both guys, I'm dreading the match, and not because I expect it to be bad. It's because Orton losing would be really weird, but at the same time if Bray loses it basically kills the character's credibility forever for me. It's going to be a really unsatisfying end no matter what to me.

The problem is that Orton losing kind of undoes the whole dedicating months to finally take down the Wyatts angle, but since the Wyatts have never been very relevant, Bray doing his whole more powerful than ever before routine means that if he loses he's basically impossible to take seriously as a main eventer ever again. It looks kind of derpy for whoever loses, especially Bray. Hence why I like the story, but the way it played out has meant that the outcome is kind of bad no matter what. They probably shouldn't have had Bray claiming to be Abigail's host thing now and saved it for when he leaves and comes back as you suggest.

Seems like you're looking at it completely the wrong way though. Surely the takeaway there is that these two forces have been built up, and from the way the story has played out so far there's serious doubt as to who will win. And that the villain has come up with a way to counteract the hero's big move, meaning he's a strong and dangerous opponent for the hero.

It just feels a bit like a glass half-empty approach. Yes, one of them has to lose. But that's a satisfying story. I sincerely doubt that Bray losing at WM will make you "lose faith in him forever". I really don't think there's a point where any wrestler - especially one as good as Wyatt - is truly doomed, and if such a point exists, Wyatt losing the WWE title at Wrestlemania to a top face is certainly not it. If they switched him to Raw and did a storyline where he got "imbued with a new power" and took over the entire show and beat the f*** out of everyone and was booked like a monster and had the full family back, I'm fairly sure Bray could sell that and get you invested again.

Obviously a loss hurts him - almost any pinfall loss does - but it's nothing that can't be fixed. I agree though that at some point soon I'd like to see him win one of these big, top feuds. I think Bryan is the only big feud he has ever won. Maybe Jericho if you want to count that. I really do want a months-long "Wyatts take over the show" angle someday.

I don't find this interesting at all. It's too broad of an idea and I don't really care about what year a game came out, but I'm fine with it as long as it's a Villains/Series Contest and we're getting another one later this year

This has to be, without a doubt, the hardest contest to "root" for an entrant, so I can see why people would be less hyped for it because of that. Still, it should also really mitigate the trolling and animosity that we sometimes drum up during contest season. If I had to guess, I'm expecting the least "dramatic" contest we've ever had, but it could be the most amiable and laid-back as well.

I think after the last two that's a perfectly good idea

And I really enjoyed the more amiable ones. It gives b8 a focus without it becoming the be-all and end-all.

If they do choose to cash in, a MELEE MAYHEM rules tournament will be held to crown a new MELEE MAYHEM champion at the PPV. If they don’t, the Undisputed Title #1 contender will be determined some other way, but the match will always feature a stipulation.

Just so we're clear on Mountain of Mayhem.

If CPU takes Option C(PU), we're having an 8-man MELEE tournament.

I just remember little things with Lost, like Hurley throwing a Hot Pocket at Ben in panic, or that Jack/Ethan fight (actually the episode in s1 (?) where they hunt down Ethan was pretty great), or the guy who spent the whole time doing a Christopher Walken impression

I just like the idea that SIASL was such a singularity of terrible that it affected all US TV from then on. I certainly think it affected Lost and may have at least been a cautionary tale to future shows about making sure things had a clear end point.

For plot-heavy shows, give me an excellent 7-13 over your full 17-24 episodes please.

The main reason I love Breaking Bad so much is that it feels exactly long enough for the story it tells. It doesn't feel like it was stretched or extended unnecessarily, and it never felt like they were having to contrive reasons to keep the show going (For instance, 24 kind of reached a point of no return there from like season 5 on).

So that sucked. But they beat us. WotR can go back into retirement for now, which is terrible news for the singles division of UCA, and at Mountain of Mayhem we will see David and Sultan defend those newly won tag titles against Apollo and Strife.

If someone could do the Pandemonium results that'd be great. I'm still struggling for good access here.

Updates are a real pain often when you just want to play, but I really like that a game like this isn't doomed from release. Although I feel like it encourages and enables studios to rush games out. Ah well

Yeah people are SUPER overblowing the whole thing. I'm not going to say the animations are good because they're not, but good lord its not THAT big of a deal.

I played the trilogy consecutively and remember being surprised at how passable 3's were. In 1 there were cutscenes where I could barely tell what was going on (like the one just before you fight Benezia).

Now it's sad that they seem to have gone backwards rather than forwards (though ME is the only Bioware series I've ever played) but I mean I love ME1 well enough despite flaws like that. Also, new hardware.
